  • @germmaja He is ''just'' Kenny Rogers...a great voice, wonderful music...

  • @germmaja We all get fuckin' old, unless you die before you get there, you're gonna get old....

  • Wonderful version. I think they should've slowed down the tempo a bit however.

  • OMG!!!!! i can just faint right now hearin him sing! i had to miss 2 kenny concert the next one i missed i cried for 3 days!

  • OMG!!!!! i can just faint right now hearin him sing!

  • damn those surgeons

  • WOW... tooo faaaast !!!!!...

  • kenny roger still the best....

  • was that Hedgehog Playing the Bass?

  • What's with the tempo on fast forward?

    Makes it sound like shit.

  • lol at 1:37 rolf harris

  • Am a big fan of Kenny's and love this song!

  • One of the Bee Gees' multi-million sellers, next to the songs they wrote for the SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER movie soundtrack.

  • Barry,Robin and Maurice Gibb were there in spirit although Barry and Robin are still alive. The brothers, commonly known as the Bee Gees wrote this for Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton long before recording it themselves for the brothers' albums ONE NIGHT ONLY and THEIR GREATEST HITS-THE RECORD.

  • Sure dont look like him. More like Plastic Pelosi""""

  • SURE DONT LOOK LIKE HIM. MORE LIKE PASTIC PELOSI""""

  • HE LOOKS LIKE PLASTIC PELOSI.

  • not the same with out Dolly!

  • Not even the same without the Boneroo Horns, the brass ensemble that once worked with the Bee Gees. This song was written by the Bee Gees. The BH's also worked with Barbra Streisand and Dionne Warwick.

  • Too fast of a tempo...

  • They ruined his eyes with that plastic surgery. I heard him talk about it during an interview. I think he can get it fixed. Takes time. Ya can't rush it.

  • still love kenny still can sing well

  • He's wrecked. Why the face did he get a face-job? He was so handsome - now he just looks like bloody death. Yuck.

  • i think the plasic surgeon lost his licence after this....

  • Kenny Rogers is the greatest act ever in country music history, not only should he be a member of the opry, but he should have been in the hall of fame years ago. Wake up CMA! Regardless, Kenny is a superstar of music, up there with The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Garth Brooks, George Strait and Conway Twitty!

  • lol damn kenny pulled a michael jackson with that surgery

  • yeah that's baby butt face lol love his voice tho

  • I love Kenny Rogers' Jack Ass show!

  • Who's his plastic surgeon? Nice face lift - almost like someone ironed his face smooth as a baby's butt!

  • Nicely done Kenny. Gotta say though, it's missing something huge without Dolly

  • its missing 2 huge things w/o dolly!

  • lol, well plaid

  • Those would be Barry Gibb of the now-defunct but forever legendary Bee Gees and a brass ensemble called the Boneroo Horns who worked with the BG's,Barbra Streisand and Dionne Warwick.

  • He looks prettier now than he did before! Go Kenny!

  • he always looked pretty =)

  • I like Kenny without the full beard that he sported for three decades before shaving it off sometime in the mid-to-late '90's

  • pumayat na,..,pero he still sounds fantastic!

  • wow!ang galing tlg!i love this song!

  • ang galing parin nya hanggang ngaun.......

  • Man he still sounds GREAT

  • The message is clear this could be the year of the real thing. good job!

  • Great! great!

    Excellent live!

Thank you for sharing this vidéo.

    Regards

  • Kenny has been recording music for over 50 years - rockabilly/do wop/jazz vocal/big band/rock/folk/ psychedelic/country/pop/adult contemporary

Kenny has had a song/album hit the charts each of the last 6 decades, sold over 125 million units worldwide & among the biggest selling artists

Amazing songs/movies/photography/books/concerts/tv specials/charitable work & laughs - Kenny has touched so many hearts

A real superstar of music and under-appreciated by the music industry

  • i like the song slower nd not as fast. its supposed to be a slow song. and a duet with dolly...the took her out nd spead it up

    :(

  • kenny's voice still good and seemed that it didn't changed a bit... major wower!!!!

  • kenny rogers é ótimo!

  • she would have been good with him . , i guess Dolly had concert to do or something , anyway Kenny is great too :) thnx

  • echo de menos a dolly parton, un besazo desde españa

  • Awh Dolly Parton is missing, it 's normal to expect her to pop in to her part from behind the stage : )

  • STILL GOT THAT GRAVEL VOICE - GOOD.

  • Where's Dolly?!

  • I was in the audience that night. They were celebrating his career in music. 50 years I think. It was cool being there.

  • very nice music

  • still a legend at 70 =]

  • he'll always be a legend! :P

  • I LOVE HIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • Damn, he looks strange now! What in the world was he thinking when he had reconstruction surgery on his face. He's almost unrecognizable.

  • There's no need to over do it, you can still tell who he is. He may not look as good as he did 20 years ago, but even w/o surgery, that would be expected!

  • When was he on the Opry?

  • He looks like 68-69 so it must be 2006 or 2007.

  • he's played the opry a number of times over the years.

  • Kenny performed at the Opry's 83rd birthday celebrations on Oct 11 2008

  • AWSOME! He's quite old but the best singer I've ever heard. But I miss Dolly ... Well, they're both good singers.

  • dollys should have sneeked out on him!

  • the bottom line is...he is a legend and deserves to be in the hall of fame.....

  • Dolly must have been working 9 to 5...somewhere...she should have been singing with Kenny!!!

  • When Kenny's working 9 to 5 elsewhere, Dolly also sings it as a solo. I'd rather Kenny sang it solo than not at all!

  • It is shamefull that Kenny has not been admitted as a member of the Opry.

Maybe if he wore a hat and tight jeans and had girls scream as he wiggled his backside the Opry would instantly induct him.

Kenny has been performing/recording over 50 years snd has been a superstar in country for over 30 years

Country Music industry should wake up and get over the politics.

Kenny should be an Opry member and in Hall of Fame.

It is disgrace that Kenny has been omitted.

  • You are right! Country music has snubbed Rogers. The CMA never gave him the "Entertainer" award either (he deserved it every year from 77 to 85). It's 2008 and Vince Gill is in the Hall of Fame and Carrie Underwood is an Opry member ... meanwhile Rogers has still not been given his due. He should have been in the HOF 15-20 years ago!

  • now now, blame the Opry, not Vince and Carrie!

  • where did I blame vince or carrie? read again...

  • i know. it just sounds like u did lol sorry

  • I don't know how. I never attacked the artists. However, I'm sure you can see my point. Carrie Underwood has had 2 hit albums, Kenny Rogers has a 52 year career, scored dozen's of #1 hits and released no less than 65 albums, having enjoyed success all over the world. He was the Garth Brooks of his day. It is a given he would be much more deserving of such an honour!

  • Kenny did receive the 'Entertainer' Award from the ACM in 1978 and was 'Male' for both CMA and ACM.

Sadly, politics within the county music industry seemed to have gotten in the way.

Between 1977 and 1985, Kenny was one of the highest album selling singers, highest concert attendance, and most watched television specials/movies. Yet the industry failed to recognize this and choose to play the 'not country (enough)' game rather than celebrate country music

  • "In country music i'm not considerd country enough... everywhere else i'm considerd too country" - Kenny Rogers

  • Are there any awards you would like to have won, but didnt?

"I never won CMAs Entertainer of Year. I think a lot of that is because, honestly, at that point they didnt consider me country enough. They thought I was a pop artist coming in having success in country. Thats the only thing I can imagine, because at one point I represented a tremendous part of the country music income that was coming in. No question I was doing more than anyone else. Theres a protectionism in country music.

  • There seems to be a lot of elitism within the CMA, but even so, Charlie Rich won the Entertainer award and he was an artist that came from rock n roll into country. That said, Rich isn't in the hall of fame either.

  • yeah iknow wheres Dolly? they would of had ablast if she snuck out

    Jaylee

  • just love kenny X X

  • he's still got it!

  • Great song kenny rogers!!!

  • I was in Tennessee this weekend. Passed the Opry. Didn't go to the shows, though.

  • I love his singing!!

  • the 2 girls at 1:45 are hott

  • Absolutely timeless voice!!!! Go Kenny!!!!!

  • what a voice still one of the best in country

  • kenny rogers the bomb this is a great song
