does anyone know what year this German Grand Prix was?? 2:03 it has to be '71 or '72, maybe '74, i will be surprised if it's another year. I just watched a video of the 1969 German Grand Prix and there were no white lines at that part of the track

It was the Nordschleife including a small section which is now where the modern grand prix track is located. just search "1975 german grand prix" for some good quality footage of the Nurburgring when it was used by Formula 1. or check my favorites and find the 1964 race when the track was incredibly dangerous, no walls, just bushes and trees along the track and the long back straight had several "humps" or hills, like the short video clip in this vid

Since Niki Lauda had his horrible accident there, the F1 came to Hockenheim. 1976 was the last race at the Nordschleife ;) the circuit wasn't really safe
There is still racing at the circuit, and it still excists ;)
24h of Nurburgring is being held at the Nordschleife. The safety at the circuit is very much improved! And every single person with a drivers license can buy 'a lap' and can race at the circuit ;) (about 13-14 minutes)
But I really want to do it if I have a drivers license! (I live in Holland, so not too far away :D). The last years the F1 lapped the circuit around the 7 minute and 10 seconds ;)
It's good but it could be even better. For example, at the very beginning of the video, why don't you let the full outstanding overtaking manoeuvre of Alonso on Schumacher at Suzuka in the 130R ? You cut it at the middle of the overtaking, it's frustrating. You can replace what we see after it (Raikkonen celebrating at Monaco) by the end of the overtaking, and add the end of the overtaking of Kimi on Fisi at Suzuka in 2005, with the reaction of the crowd and the people, that would be great.
I thank you for your input. But I must be honest, when I uploaded this it was the first time I had seen it all the way through due to my movie making programme always throwing a hissy fit every time I pressed play.
I'm going through tough times at the moment, but watching this video brings back smiles and I'm glad to to have watched F1 from 1988 to present. Videos like these make me look forward to the next season. Greetings to all around the world from California.
This Video is Amazing i love the fact it isnt stuck to one driver i love the way it shows the golden years of the sport that today no longer exist all the rases today seem to be fought in the courts not on the track 5 stars for sure mate!
Great video,5 stars and add to my favorites.I like very much the detail of Graham Hill and his son Damon, and Gilles Villeneuve and his son Jackes...long life to F1.
Yes, that Antti's video was just awesome, but your is also good. Honestly, your vid is quite cheerful and on the other hand, Antti's one is more like "Win or die!!!".

I'm 14 years old so I didn't do a lap haha :P

You seem to be pretty composed for only being 14, how old will you be when you get your license?
tommytooclean 2 years ago
Here in Holland you can get your license when you're 18, but you can take lessons and to theory exam when you're 17 years old :D
MidaRaceZone94 2 years ago
about 13-14 Minutes??? hmm...
i would say less than 9 :-)
