  • Paula Begoun insists on there is no difference between a daily cream and an eye cream. It is more an advirtising trick.

  • I think eye creams are overhyped. Regular DDML moisturizer etc works fine. I've almost never used an eye cream, fair skin, 61 now, about the same as anyone else my age, maybe better. Low estrogen after menopause causes tissue breakdown, some women have lower estrogen than others. What aged my eye area most was the yr I used mascara daily, age 51, very aware not to pull on the skin, but getting mascara off the most gentle way did more damage than the previous years combined. Wear it rarely now.

  • @WildDoveX hi, can i ask: so was it the mascara that's aging or the gentle removal? is there a particular way to remove mascare you'd recommend?

  • @iluvpenguins007 - I believe it was the removal no matter how gentle. I have no recs and quit using mascara except for special occasions.

  • @WildDoveX thank you for your reply! thats a shame really i love how mascara makes me look but it seems you're right ive noticed the difference in my skin around the eye after i started using it and removing it with gentle makeup remover. im still young but prevention is key. learnt it the hard way because ive managed to mess up my skin just by trying things that work for other people

  • @iluvpenguins007 - Thanks for letting me know I'm not crazy
