I suggest just trying to expose him to as many "scary" things as possible. You could put plastic bags (make sure he isn't going to get caught in them or chew them though!) in his stall or on his fan so that he has to spend time around them and eventually he will get used to them.
is she still for sale? and if so what state is she located in?

i have a horse and he spooks over small things...... do you know how i would train him.
