@greenElias3 yeah i was just worried that the leather would wear out really quickly. using a sheet of vibram cherry or something similar would definitely improve things.
by the by i found this website where a dude makes chaco-like sandals but with very thin vibram soles, you have to send in a trace of your foot i guess but they look pretty awesome. google custom minimal footwear and its one of the top results.
Nice....but you may want to put another durable layer over the bottom to cover the straps and finish the sandle....other wise eventually the straps will wear from underneath caused by friction of the pavement or asphalt etc.... and come apart......Enjoyed it!....Thanks for sharing.......
If you glue the PVC onto the soles after you add the straps, it'll cover the elastic and keep it from wearing away.
