Just finished watching "The End of Time", and I can honestly say that up until this point, I had tried to keep the tears in since it was the middle of the night... But when this played... I just smiled so much, I cried so much, and I can't even describe how much I wanted to applaud to everything. It was so brilliant. It was fantastic. This is why I love Doctor Who.
This song reminds me of when I first watched Doctor Who. I had already seen "The End of Time Pt. 2" on New Year's Eve, and even though I didn't understand what was going on, I knew I would love Doctor Who. One night I stayed up really late, and my family was going to Virginia really early, so I knew it wouldn't be worth it to go to sleep. I suddenly remembered that I wanted to watch Doctor Who. I saw four episodes of the 2005 series, and fell in love. This song reminds me of that night.

I don't like the Doctor's wife River Song she's nothing like Rose. It kinda makes me feel like he doesn't love Rose anymore. Even though he left a copy of himself with her he still was in love with her. I just think they should make him stay true to her till the very end. And if the series ever ends and the Doctor dies (God forbid it) Rose should be there.

He was dying and asked the TARDIS for an interface, it showed himself but he asked for someone he liked which then showed rose. but he felt too much guilt for what happened to her so it showed him martha but he also felt guilt so it showed donna (best companion ever btw) but he had the biggest guilt for her so he asked for someone who he hadnt "Screwed up" which was Amelia Pond (not amy but amelia)

She made things lighter and better while also holding her own most of the time. Rose was my favorite companion. all of the others just didnt seem right. they were good but all of them except rose pretty much had to be taken care of. Rose could take care of herself. but thats because shes been with the doctor so long and knew what to do. Martha and donna both were with him for a bit but they still needed to be taken care of more and it seemed like a hassle but i still enjoyed them all.
@indyfan29 Rose's biggest strength was her compassion, which made her an awesome companion. But she wasn't perfect either. Rose still needed a lot of rescuing, and her priorities confused me (Who rips a hole in spacetime just to see their dead dad in 2 universes, or abandons their mom/bf for the Doctor 3 days after meeting him?) Martha spent all her time taking care of the Doctor, and she spent a year alone on hell-earth garnering support against the Master. They're both cool, though.

Oh gawd I love all the companion's themes...Rose's is so beautifully tragic, Martha's is sort of heroic with a slight touch of tragedy, Donna's is so funny and happy, Cap'n Jack's = Dashing hero theme tune, Amy's is slightly childish to remind us of how long she waited, River's is tragic, with a backwards feel to it, y'get the point ;)

BUT! you need to rent the dvd's to see the cut scene from Journey's End - because there's something that happened that we didn't get to see, and Davies insists that it absolutely happened. It's a very happy good thing lol.
0.57 is just a moment of pure beauty. 1.16-1.29 too. Murray Gold is just a genius. Roe's theme is my favourite theme, and Rose is my favourite companion.

i loved it when they played this song on the second episode of the first new series, the 'end of the world' one. when she was standing facing the destroyed earth (chunks of rock). it just looked so beautiful and the song really suited the moment :D

It isn't Matt's fault. Steven Moffats writing is the problem. Matt smith is quite goo at emotional acts, but the writing doesn't allow him to. I'm not saying your wrong la4france, but don't blame good actor, blame the writer. even then i like the new series.

I don't watch doctor who anymore now that the Doctor and Rose are both gone, but i loved the 4 seasons that they were in because it was really just one big love story. even season 3 the doctor was in mourning, so yeah. Best on screen couple ever!
but in any case, i definitely wouldn't say she's waaaayy better than Rose. rose was great too. she always knew where the generator was (london eye. in the shakespeare code that's what The Doctor said to Martha.)

the thing is, The Tenth Doctor, Martha, Donna, Mickey and Captain Jack, they grew on me within a few episodes. But not Amy or The Eleventh Doctor. i've finished series 5 and they still only merit between ok and good. The Eleventh Doctor is quite good, but not completely grown on me yet. Rory's ok too. but after a whole series!
anyway, i'll stop now. i tend to have long opinions. but hey, you like amy more than Rose, that's cool too.
she's ok, maybe i exagerated a little. she doesn't really get on my nerves that much and it's not that i can't stand her. but she's not really brilliant either. at leastin my opinion. i know i'm oe f the few who doesn't really like her, i don't hate her, but i don't really like her either, and i know most do.

Oh gawd I love all the companion's themes...Rose's is so beautifully tragic, Martha's is sort of heroic with a slight touch of tragedy, Donna's is so funny and happy, Cap'n Jack's = Dashing hero theme tune, Amy's is slightly childish to remind us of how long she waited, River's is tragic, with a backwards feel to it, y'get the point ;)

She was the most wonderful of all the companions, i LOVED her and I miss her so much! My heart breaks every time i watch Doomsday and Journey's End. Such a beautiful story!!

My favourite assistant. I loved Series 2. The scripts were perfect, as was the acting and the music. This tune is both haunting and warm at the same time.

@TorchWhoCanada Yeah, it was to be called Rose Tyler: Earth Defence - google that. Unfortunately it never got off the ground :P i'm sad for that, and happy for that. BUT! you need to rent the dvd's to see the cut scene from Journey's End - because there's something that happened that we didn't get to see, and Davies insists that it absolutely happened. It's a very happy good thing lol.

@laterose1995 I cried so hard at the end of season two! Their parting was just so sad! This song is so sweet and tender, it makes me think of what the Doctor must feel about Rose. She is by far my favorite companion.

i loved it when they played this song on the second episode of the first new series, the 'end of the world' one. when she was standing facing the destroyed earth (chunks of rock). it just looked so beautiful and the song really suited the moment :D

It isn't Matt's fault. Steven Moffats writing is the problem. Matt smith is quite goo at emotional acts, but the writing doesn't allow him to. I'm not saying your wrong la4france, but don't blame good actor, blame the writer. even then i like the new series.

@turbotroy6 I know right, i completely agree with eveything you've just said & to me the new series with 11th doctor is not Doctor Who it is just a kids sci-fi show & yes matt smith is actually quite a good doctor but the script & stories are so shit & very poor character development & the whole amy & rory thing just annoys me plus the CGI looks shit & seeing as it's sci-fi, they need to make it look a little convincing whereas russel t davies era was amazing & looked great, THAT was so amazing!

I don't watch doctor who anymore now that the Doctor and Rose are both gone, but i loved the 4 seasons that they were in because it was really just one big love story. even season 3 the doctor was in mourning, so yeah. Best on screen couple ever!

hat's wrong with Rose? why's Amy waaaayyy better? so she didn't fall in love with The Doctor, but there's anything wrong with falling in love with The Doctor as long as you don't force it if he doesn't love you back.that's what i love about Martha. she loved The Doctor and he didn't love her back, but then she didn't push it.

the thing is, The Tenth Doctor, Martha, Donna, Mickey and Captain Jack, they grew on me within a few episodes. But not Amy or The Eleventh Doctor. i've finished series 5 and they still only merit between ok and good. The Eleventh Doctor is quite good, but not completely grown on me yet. Rory's ok too. but after a whole series!
anyway, i'll stop now. i tend to have long opinions. but hey, you like amy more than Rose, that's cool too.

she's ok, maybe i exagerated a little. she doesn't really get on my nerves that much and it's not that i can't stand her. but she's not really brilliant either. at leastin my opinion. i know i'm oe f the few who doesn't really like her, i don't hate her, but i don't really like her either, and i know most do.
