Just my opinion. I remember the days of impressive HD showcase garbage in the early 2000's. The only source that made these "showcases" come true in my opinion was the PlayStation3. Before that, it was just a matter of "Sir, why didn't it look like the picture in the store"? LMFAO!
wats the best picture settings on the g10 full HD as in the contrast and brightness? it feels very bright or very dull, just need to get the correct balance.any suggestions?
I run 45% contrast, 45% brightness, light black levels, and all the NR off.
My room is different than yours, but that's my sweet spot.
There is no input lag with a Plasma, as you don't have the scaling issues you would with a DLP or LCD. However early in it's life (first 200+ hours) it's going to have annoying phosphor trails. I don't notice them in most games, but something like Call of Duty shows them pretty loud.
No, there is no perceptible input lag. In fact, that is one of the reasons I bought it. I had a Samsung LCD that had significant input lag, which made controlling games feel unresponsive.
What amazed me the most was that this tv actually has slightly less input lag than my Sony CRT. To be clear, both have extremely low input lag that is virtually undetectable, but going back and forth I realized that the G10 had slightly faster response time.
@avshaman I dont think your CRT will suffer any input lag cause it has a total different way of handling input images. But anyways i bought the Panasonic 50V10 model and i traded it back in because of phosphor trails ( dont know how it's spelled ) but i were unable to enjoy fast moving fps games. It was pretty horrible. Maybe it's better on the G10 version.
You're right. I spent some time checking this tv out earlier today at Best Buy and it was incredible. I thought it looked better than any other tv in the store. The LED-LCDs were a little brighter, but the contrast looked just as good or better on the G10, and more importantly, the colors were richer and more accurate on the G10.
The only doubt I had about the G10 was about possible phosphor trails, but they let me hook up my game system and I was amazed to find they weren't even an issue.
I just ordered my 50G15 and im freaking exited about it!!! I ordered from amazon a G10 at 1048.88, and after the checkout they called me the next day telling that the G10 was out of stock but they would upgrade me for no cost to a G15 XD i was so happy LOL
Awesome TV! My friend and I saw one in person at Best Buy last weekend and were just in awe! I think it was the best TV in the store, even better than the backlit LED LCD's.
I would recommend going to CNET's website. They have a review of both the G10 and V10 series. They said that the V10 series doesn't suffer from some flickering that the G10 does when watching 1080p/24 source material, since the V10 has 96Hz mode.
@79mystique79 Great news idd. I finally got myself a G10 a few months ago and I'm very happy with the black levels, blows any LCD out of the water. I'm sure the new models are even more amazing. Glad to see the KURO tech isn't dead and I hope Panasonic continue to keep it alive :)
so shiny...i think the g20 is less reflective.

Read the text review over at CNET. They always have calibration settings for all the tvs they review.

Now the Pioneer Kuro's are no longer, this is the best Plasma on the market. Still out of my price range unfortunately tho :(

@LeJimster maybe a little late , but panasonic has bought the Kuro technology from pioneer and is using it in their new 2010 line up.
