  • I'm so glad I found this. This will help me to explain what's happening to my phone. I have the EXACT same thing happening to my 3Gs. But it's Jailbroken and unlocked so I doubt Apple will be willing to help me.

  • @shwndh Apple replaced my phone in 7 days. It was still under warranty, so I simply had to send it to them via Australia Post, which itself was completely free because Apple pays for the postage using the pre-paid e-Parcel system! The phone downloaded so much data that I had a $450 excess data bill that I only got out of when I proved definitively that the data downloaded was not my fault. Apple sent me what looks like a brand new iPhone 4, but it may of been a refurbished model.

  • im having this exact same problem

  • @roblaroni I called up Apple customer service, explained the problem. They emailed me a form to send the phone back to them. Exactly 1 week later a brand new iPhone 4 arrived direct from Apple. When I sent the phone it is logged as an eParcel which means you don't pay a cent to send it away. You don't even pay for the packaging, it is all pre-paid by Apple.
