In Graspop, you can't hear the guitar, nor the keyboard. The only thing i can hear is a bass and drums. The microphone is too high related to everything else. The setup of this live, was pretty much, pure shit.

Graspop does have a very shitty sound system. Like I saw Dragonforce with Sonata opening for them, and they sound amazing. I hope graspop won't ruin band's reputations, like how Dragonforce was looked down on for a while.

Well, as I said, I have seen them live, and have seen other videos. Yes, FTSOR is for DVD, but this one is well filmed, too.

I checked other versions of this same video, and either all of the audio quality is bad, or the guitar and bass are messing up the songs in the concerts (I checked other songs from this same concert, the bass and guitar are not that great).

And no, I'm not that big of a fan of the people but of their music. :)

I've seen SA 7 times in concert, one of which was when they had Jani in it back in Feb 06'.

There is no comparison of a band official DVD to a fan vid found on youtube. Your beating a dead horse as far as thats concerned.

I'm not saying this is the best SA vid ever, but its definitely well put to together for it just being a youtube vid.I agree that seeing them live is better (just like 99% of the bands I've seen) than hearing just an album. I still dont see you point being made.

Well, the quality of this one is indeed pretty bad, but watch watch?v=WU-ja3CxCeU and put it on HQ, and while the quality is much better (I mean the sound quality), it seems that for this concert the bass is too loud and the guitar has too much P.M. and the distortion doesn't have that "bright" sound to it as in the album version or as in other concerts (not only the DVD).

I'm just saying Jani's playing seems better to me.

Seems like a much better guy for Sonata Arctica, the new sonata is more about the emotionell keys and heavy guitars!

I think we will see some greatly arranged solos by Elias on the fortcoming album, hes got a hell of a economy picking !

Weird... as a general rule i dislike metal but Sonata are my 2nd fave band of all time - unbelievable live and on CD. They can have a laugh too unlike alot of live bands who are stiff, rigid, sloppy and dont know how to have a good time.
