@FutureDifferenter This is one of those games that is super famous among Japanese people but pretty much never got any notice outside of Japan. It's a shame too because it's a lot of fun.
@videogametech1 Awesome! Have fun with it! There are a ton of scenes that are creepy and disturbing. Also, a lot of the jump scares are randomized so they don't always occur, which makes it lots of fun. Which version did you get? Super Famicom or PS1?
@amurphy245 I can't vouch for the quality of it because I've never actually played the fan translation but just searching for "Clock Tower Fan Translation" will bring up a bunch of sites to download it. Give it a try if you have time and let me know how the translation is.
I'm really digging this series! I was not aware of a Clower being on the famicom. I will say that any game that has a psychotic parrot that screams is definitely a Triple A title! Also, the scissor man looks like the lead singer of AC DC with that school boy outfit. lol Looking for to the next one CornMuffin!!
@PointBlankGamez Yeah, it's confusing because the first US Clock Tower is the second one in Japan and, because it's not a super popular series, most people don't know about the original. The scissor man totally looks like a member of AC/DC!! Though the clothes make sense in the story, I always thought it was goofy.
@GTAROOMAN100 Yeah, it takes a lot of trial and error to get everything right. It's like a massive victory to beat the game though. One of the endings actually can be done really quickly. It's a bad one but you can go straight to the garage and leave in a car to end the game.
Very cool. I've been importing games from Japan since the mid 90's and I was not aware of this one. Its great to watch JPN games reviewed by someone who can actually read Japanese. In my early days, I played many great JPN-RPG's but my Japanese is no so great, so these days, I try to keep my imports to games that are not heavily reliant on my Japanese skills. Great review!
@TheGreenMonkeyKing This one is one that would be difficult in only Japanese I think, if only because you have items to find and use with crack timing. Other than that though, there isn't much text for the story beyond the beginning and ending. This is a classic in Japan which always made me wonder why nobody had heard of it.
That freakin' window billowing always scared the crap out of me!! :S

@Lupucillo I'll admit, I jumped like crazy when that first happened. It doesn't always move so it's a shock.
