i bought my first 99 civic 2 months ago (same one 2:52 to 2:55...with dai alloys 17" hyperblack) great model, great car the best...just got stolen by a f......

jerk...anti-teft and the clubcar don`t really stop these poeple from steeling...took me 18 months to save my precious time and money to bye and to rebuild my civic to my style...and it only took him 2 minutes to steal my "baby" (if anyone got any discouraging tricks for theives...let me know...peace

this may be stupid but we take out the clutch, the shifter knob, and ignition ECU when we leave it outside.

the only thing they can steal from us is the wheels and thats about it. cause we could lock the hood. since my friend makes bullet proof windows. we use a 10cm thick bullet proof window so they cant cut the hood.

how do you take out the clucht wouldent you have to remove the whole tranny

you know the clutch pedal inside the car when you press so you can switch gears. we remove that. i mean not the entire clutch pedal just a few screws so they won't be able to switch gears.(gears...haha it sounds funny)

take out the battery and/or unhook easy wires such as spark plugs, sensors.or even take out fuses anything to buy time.hopefully why they are trying to figure out how to start it someone will catch them. remove steering whell. or my favorite unhook a head or tailight so when they do steal it they have a high chance of getting pulled over. i would spend like 300 to 5 00 for a good gps car tracker to.
