  • well i liked it

  • You should practice with a metronome... (Waits for smart-ass comeback...)

  • Puta que o pariu me da umas aulas aeee hahaha, toca muitoooo

  • POR LA VERGA

  • YEAH

  • it sounds like a version to the song, not exactly a cover. no offenses.

some patterns are really different from the original song

  • where are chops kid??!!

  • @Draedon It's not perfect, but it's far from horrible.

  • Why all the dislikes? This is a great cover! Probably just the jealous youtubers again....

  • chinga tu madre chamaco de cagada!!

  • good job

  • Dude, don't listen to all the haters out there. You took a bitch of a song to play on drums and you've done Dave proud, feel good about it man.. it kicks ass. :) -Matt.

  • @paulcgd maybe im talking talking out of my arse since i donno shit about drums but you have the feel of Bonham in your playing to my ears. I like the power with which you play

  • Glad you finally got into it halfway through, sounds great, make sure you rock while you drum.

  • bad

  • You did wrong in the beggining but well done

  • you definitely played it well but i think you simplified it a little much. but it's not an easy song. right on

  • NO OFFENS BUT KICK ASS DRUM SET BUT CRAPPY SOUND ADUIO!

  • good drumming :D

  • nice drumin m8 you now how to play thumbs up for ya m8 :)

  • Comment removed

  • This is BAD ASS!!! Dont mind the thumbs down, I mean, justin beiber has to have some fans too.... xD

  • awsome

  • i hate the way uve got ur toms set up no offence man but i like them more low and flat sit up over them and blast

    big kit thou noicceee

  • this is wat i love about Grohl's playing ...those 2 beat rock rhythms are easy to bounce.... he played them a little straighter .....on the breakdown, one can hear the roots....Tie Your Mother Down...Roger Taylor of Queen was a master of this kind of playing....relaxed but playing on top...always pressing, always pushing......dont relax .....thats where the intensity comes from...a lil inside feelin'...a feelin' to live for..keep on playin'

  • the feel is a little more on top of the beat, real subtle...real easy to miss....without it a crucial ingredient is missing...the punk..the rock roll is housed in that approach and phrasing.....dont relax on the groove, on the pacing, on the spacing.....

  • He doesn't play it same as Dave Grohl, he's plaing it in simpler way. it's not hard to play it in such a shitty way, I know it, I also got drums...

  • kickass dude, two thumbs up!

  • Dude that is a great job, that song is tough to play and your all over it. Nice bro!

  • I really like this cover. If it's played differently to the way Dave Grohl plays it, that just makes this cover better in my eyes because it's his own interpretation on the song and style. I think it's really good.

  • ooo nice matey... hairs nice aswell.....

    XD

  • You should take another listen. Plenty wrong there. Anyway. full marks for the kit. And the hair.

  • THAT is a drum kit!

  • yes. nice pick up captain obvious.

  • nice kit

  • seems like I was pry exactly where you are as far as form and ability when I was 17. I'm 20 now and you wouldn't believe the difference 3 years has made. You'll find that you are going up an exponential talent ladder if you just keep playing!!! keep it up dude

  • It was pure awesome!

  • Nice cover

  • tight man... real tight i like it!

  • good cover men, the people talk shit but is hard to play....

  • @darkt800pepe are u mental? this song is hard too play?. I'm teaching my students how to play this song always on 5th drummin lesson.

  • @Duchu33 idiot...

  • @Duchu33 uh? the final part its easy?

  • @Duchu33 one thing is to play well and other totaly diferent is try to interpret

  • @darkt800pepe people talk shit because its not hard to play

  • people talk so much shit but not many people know how hard it is to keep time with a recording playing in the backround... great job Dave Grohl has my favorite style of druming... and i'm not even a drumer

  • agree grohl my fav drummer too - esecially in NIRVANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!Kurt Cobain Rules!!!!!!!!!!

  • poor

  • nearly not bad

  • Not how Dave plays it but it wasn't bad. Could tell those weren't the fills from the recording. Nice drums.

  • shitty beginner kit. im getting a new one in a few months.

  • i can barely hear his drumming over the songs drumming

  • get your ears tested you have a problem

  • no its just that on the fills i couldnt tell what you were playing. im just used to my toms not being tuned low. sorry

  • @paulcgd haha, you could take that as a compliment!

  • @drumsordie i got to agree with you here toms are really low

  • That was really good actually.

  • my man damn good job i love the kit too

  • god job

  • respect 2 u buddie ! fabulous

  • nice kit bro

  • nice drums!

  • good drumming mate

  • nice to watch

  • good drumming!

  • good one mate!

  • it's ok

  • well done you have talent don`t waste it !

  • Please....get mics....I think my ears are bleeding after 1 minute of that.

  • Really awesome! WTG!

  • well done mate

  • what's this whining about the drumkit? are you saying he should get rid of half his kit just to please you pricks? isen't the way it looks also important? I mean if you would choose between a black drumkit and a pink kit wouldn't you rather buy the black or would you still say it's only about the sound? btw i didn't thought the sound sounded so impressive but good job!

  • parabens muito bom

  • that kit must have set you back

    mine is a wreck

  • lol god energy

    good cover :D

  • hey man i good tip you might want for this song is to play the bass with the snare too it'll give it the nice hard thud every bar ;)

  • NICE JOB i'm trying to learn this song right now. way to go

  • nice god energy and keep the god job

  • Bravo!

  • pretty sweet man

  • nice kit

  • chida cancion

  • i like how everyone who attempts this song on drums dont even bother with the forth fill in the chorus haha nicely done though

  • the fourth fill is just triplets with crash/bass on the 1, 2, 3, 4, etc..and R L snare sticking on the &, A...idk why ppl think its hard

  • to be fair, he does have semi cool hair. its Grohl when he shot the vid for this track, meets Jimmy Osmond.

  • nah dude its not triplets its wicked fast 16th notes in a kinda weird timing

  • u sure rele sounds like triplets? :S

  • yea dude my teacher hows the drummer of kid nap kin who had to learn this song for berklee taught me how to do it you just need hand speed

  • sweet gd to know thanx

  • It is pretty hard to do it right. You either have to play double strokes (rr-L-R-ll-R-L) or you have to do this weird thing where you change speed. I can't really do either one properly.

  • You don't necessarily HAVE to play double strokes...that's more of a preference, I'd say. And yeah, the speed changing thing you're talking about is just playing 16th note triplets...so instead of playing regular 16th notes; 1 e + a 2 e + a...etc.....you're playing 1 + a 2 + a 3 + a 4 + a...so the rhythm slows down a bit, but the tempo remains the same.

  • how do you get tracks without the drums? any tips would be helpful thanks

  • I wish i could do that! :P

  • good job, nice set, needs work the little details of the part though.....

  • Saio um pouco do tempo

  • regalame una:)

  • Dude, GREAT cover... and only 17! well done, keep it up :)

  • The third fill is a bit tricky. But it's not triplets, it simply a fill with a flam at the beginning. Right flam on first and left flam one the second. great song, cause the drums!

  • that's not true

  • no? it's true, do you even know how the startingbeat goes?? the fill goes (R,L) Flam, SO IT'S SIMPLY R,L,l,r,L,R,r,l, in triplets

  • No one can play the third fill from the chorus correctly

  • Grohl and Castillo can :B

  • the worst qotsa song?! your a fool kiddo

  • the rest of that album is incredible, one of my favorite albums i own. just cant stand this song

  • I feel like you're just saying to "prove" you're a real QOTSA fan. It's a great song. One of their best. Just because its well known outside of the QOTSA fan base doesn't mean its a bad song at all.

  • this song is a drumming masterpiece bro...

  • ill give you two stars because you can do it better... but who cares about the stars... jajaja... keep pratice men.. you doing well

    drummer for reino Sa

  • very good i like it

posted 2 days after my birth day :D

  • e um bom baterista, mas nao toca a musica como realmente ela é .....

  • Pretty good performance ;)

  • ive got a swiss army knife is that any good

  • yes

  • He is a good drummer. What talent do you have besides hanging off your mommas tit and needing reassurance your a good boy? Dousch bag. You are a jealous D Bag.

  • lol, good call mate, that's funny, keep up the good work

  • why do people have to be such fucking assholes? eat shit and die fuck head.

  • A common mistake, the third part is actually the 'Billy Cobham' fill, Its a triplet RRL with a 16th note in between the first two hits RLR L RLR L. I'm not sure if that's what the kid in the video does, but thats definately what grohl is doing.

  • wow how much did that kit cost

  • you go out of time on the fills abit but overall good performance mate

  • Dave grohl can make a double bass pedal affect with one bass pedal, and it is used in the chorus.

  • so DID John Bonham and Chad smith does! dont get me wrong I love dave grohl and his drumming with the fills in this song particularly are AWESOME!

  • you can't call that a tribute until you can do dave grohls bass drum technique

Get a basic drum kit, it's all you need

got talent, but really, you should take a risk and learn dave grohls technique.

  • define dave grohl's bass technique. i don't think it's especially used in this particular song, is it?

  • was ein krasses schlagzeug!!

und sehr natülich auch gut gespielt!!!

  • my bands named after this song

  • intro is a little wrong

  • Read description.

  • well i just say taht because the rest of it was pretty much accurate

  • nice drum set, i saw taylor hawkins use that drum set before, good job, you gotta work on part 2:47 to 2:49 but other than that amazing job

  • Yeah, that part is really tricky. I still can't do it full speed. Here's how it goes right ... you do the triplets just like you would on the previous measure, but you have to do double strokes on the first beat of each triplet. Like this right... (rr-L-R)-(ll-R-L). The first one the snare, the second one on the tom.

  • I tend to play those first two notes alternating, which is sometimes called the "Cobham triplet". So the pattern I use is (RL-R-L)(RL-R-L) if you follow me. I just find it easier.

  • I think this kid lets off an air of arrogance..

  • haha how so?

  • Just a feeling I get; the drum set, how he says 'tribute', etc.

  • haha,

noo, hes not arrogant at all..

    ..

    ..

    BAHAHAHA, sorry couldn't contain myself.

  • i think he means attempt to play rather than tribute

  • Good job ! Go on like this !

  • hey paul dude! nice!!! keep playing QOTSA! don't try blink or simple plan! they suck so much!!!

check out my band playing Mexicola from queens of the stone age!

    so long

  • tama, nice set. taylor hawkins used to use that

  • listen it doesnt matter how many drusm u have drums dont make u better its skill that matters and yes its quality of quantity.

  • nice

  • awsome check out my guitar covers

    :)

  • it's was good man. But everyone has to remember that you can think that quantity is better than quality or quality over quantity. it is all how you see it.

  • Who cares if it looks cool or not. Its about the sound not the looks you idiots.

  • Kickass dude. =D

  • dont be stupid :P haveing a big kit is cool and really this song doesnt need that much but it looks cool, and some stuff sounds better on a big kit

  • you are a kickass drummer but why the fuck do you have so many fucking drums

    you look like a douche

youre using like 4 pieces out of like 12

  • ha, i agree but it just looks kool

  • Do remind that he didn't buy the kit just to play this song ;)

  • nice drumin dude

u no where u gt tht upsidedown cymbal on 1 of ur rides or crashes...wha is tht 4 cause im confuzzld :P

  • its a bell

  • very nice cymbals

cool you play it your way, i also prefer playing the way its fun to me than the exact way it should be

  • good work.. it´s probably the easiest song to play on drums, but still you make it through

  • you don't play drums do you?

  • Nice drumset dude

  • How long have you been playing drums? This is amazing =O

  • everyone has there own style, even though it looks cool, you gotta do whats comfortable for you

  • hmm made one or two mistakes as far as the hi-hate go everything else was tight tho good job :)

  • awsome!

  • Wow man nicely done Searous Props nice tamas btw

  • very good man. keep it up.

  • U have more drums than i do sticks

  • Everybody that's complaining is probably pissed that he has a better kit than you'll ever be able to afford. Just shut up and play.

  • whats wrong with the tama rock star? Its not the best quality wise but its big and cheap.

  • Huh? o_O

  • yah
