No wind per se, but lots of loose sand so plan accordingly. We didn't have enough water (I only brought 100oz in my camelback, next time it will be that + two full bottles) - but I brought iodine tablets so we could safely drink water from the river.
We had to hike out at the end because the road was washed out at Mineral Bottom. I understand that's fixed now. If I were you i'd camp at Mineral Bottom the night before, so you start your day with that climb instead of ending with it. Have fun!
I've got October 16 booked into my calendar to try the White Rim in a day, which is one year from when you did it. What was the wind like that day? What was the name of the places where your heart rate spiked to 170? Were those uphills on the easiest gears on the front and back rings? Did you have to walk any of the hills?
