There's a lot of reasons. Every form of life we're used to usually gets energy from sources that can be traced back to sunlight, usually extracted by plants. Here you have an ecosystem that doesn't need sunlight to function, instead relying on bacteria that gets energy from the methane gas. This means many things. For example, it broadens our view of where life is possible, which increases the possibility of life on other planets, both alien life and if we were to colonize one in the future.
look, if you're not interested why don't you leave it for those of us who ARE. This is real science and if you can't follow it's purpose why don't you save everyone the pain of reading your useless comment and pick up a book and LEARN.
Didn't we finnaly just get to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, (don't think I spelt that correctly). I heard it was quantity not quality for the sea life at the bottom. I always figured the deeper the larger the animal, especially with the amount of waste that falls to the floor. Imagined giant muscles that cleaned the bottoms. Guess its probably just numerous smaller organisms. :(
The Challenger Deep (the deepest part of the Marianas Trench) was reached by the bathyscaph Treiste with two crewmen aboard quite a number of years ago.
what is so sad is there is no life forms moving. no fish, no crabs, no nothing. so sad.

Too long and boring. These should be edited, and cut to the high points, with some subtitles or narration.
