Blackhawks were originaly white inveted by general black in the vietnam war and were finished designing them shortly after. They were white to match the US Navy cloulours however when the marines used them for night missions they were painted black and kept that way ever sinse and thats why people assume it is called a BLACK hawk.

@M16A4SOPMOD first of all, the black hawks design in COD 4 and MW2 looks like the black design, also the color as a dark green/blackish color, the rear wheel is position underneath the end of the tail, close to the tail rotor, if you look at the tail section you will notice UNITED STATES ARMY printed on the tail, and by that I mean that the only branch that operates black hawks is the US army
