yes this system use ubynty. after one assemble the system it become personal CNC controller. yes i used ball screw same as on all commercial machines.

please document your project in some website. I'm not getting you, Are you using EMC2 on Ubuntu? Which motor are you using, Stepper or servo? Give some details about your drive. If you have made it your own, then please document it, if possible. Are you using ball screw for this operation? Use google sites or wikispaces to document your project.
