When TV hosts and reporters do stories on anything Fawlty Towers or Monty Python related - they always come off horribly desperate to be as funny, don't they? Which is impossible really. They should just follow this advice... just leave the funny to the experts.....

stupid me...it was only 5 years ago online that I found out actress connie booth (polly the co-ed) was his real-life wife!...(she is from indianapolis indiana!)...i had such a crush on her...her american midwest accent was so pure and clear and lovely....surrounded by british jibberish and spanish...

I've seen all 12 episodes many times but over 5 years ago...now there's one where mr fawltys tiny red car breaks down when he's in the middle of a crisis...and he yells at his car...then in a tantrum he pulls up a small tree and gives the tiny red car a sound trashing!..lol ..so funny my face and kidneys hurt!

I just realized Connie Booth is an American. Her accent as Polly was flawless.

In 1996, the science documentary show "Nova" did "Einstein Revealed" about the life and career of Albert Einstein. An actor was made up to look like him for the various monologues interspersed throughout. He did a good job and I was curious who portrayed him. It was ANDREW SACHS! Manuel playing Einstein!

But you often find Britcom actors in serious dramatic roles and able to pull off both convincingly. Very versatile bunch!

We relive every episode daily. Pathetic really, but they did understand life at a common level. Small things that are shared between family members, serious encounters that are diluted by humor and so can be coped with, but taking a modern attitude might just result in divorce!

We all get old Mega and it's not sad at all, the older we get the better we see this world with CLARITY. Now that's sad, not the ageing, because we're an un-evolved species which is barely in it's adolescence. We all get old and it will come upon you in the blink of an eye.
