  • You know I wonder what Joel would sound like if he WASN'T talking about stuttering? I mean when he talks about stuttering he is talking about something he wants to talk about, people are there to support him and are listening and partaking in the conversation Is it possible that if he talks about something else he starts to have problems? Catherine was right, he speech is better because "people understand". This was true but to make it a center piece of speech therapy is, well, silly.

  • Carl Herde talks about all the things that their clients have to remember it makes you wonder how they can remember!! THe Found of AIS rejected the Hollins program because her clients told her that the Hollins program's target were "too much to remmeber!". Well the Founder of AIS has wound up doing the same thing and a heck of a lot more things to remember, just take a look at the manual the people got in the AIS intensive program!!! Ha, ha!! Don't do as I do, do as I say!!

  • Well at least the clinicians who work at AIS are very attractive like the founder of AIS was so at least AIS has nice looking people who work there! I guess that means that the therapy works!! This should be your first indication that AIS is not legitimate. It likes to get MOVIE STARS and other attractive people to be on their "Board". I guess average looking people who stutter are left out!!!

  • I heard Joel on u tube talking at an Association for Speech and Hearing without his beard and his speech was pretty good. Here it has gotten worse after the AIS program, what has happened? He is amongst people who know all about his stuttering and they stutter also yet they still have problems!!! His speech is very dependent upon SITUATIONS and Joel admits that his speech gets much worse when he is not amongst people who understand him. So what value is this AIS program? Slurp that alcohol...

  • i watch mtv i stutter with caryn but i didnt see the subway scene.

  • and there is also alcohol involved, Joel has a nice alcoholic drink.

  • i am sure his speech is improved but he is talking about his AIS intensive program experiences and with people he knows who knows he stutters so he is about as comfortable as he can be.

Glad his speech is better but everyone is talking about the AIS subway challenge. In fact Carl Herder from AIS is there.

Listen to how he talks as compared with Joel and you can see that Joel's speech is just too slow for norrnal conversation.

The clients are actually programed to prove AIS right.

  • Nice video....Thanks

  • You're the man!!! and you know that!

  • I don't know if I could do it on the DC Metro redline.

  • Thanks guys.
