the reason is usually, there are more complete players in the squad. e.g. zoran tosic is a good player for man u but crisitano ronaldo is much better player in more areas than tosic and that is why young exciting stars get put on the bench a lot of the time.

The official hammers website wont say anything as it has a strong reputation for facts not rumours. The hammers official fan site says otherwise as it has factual latest news. Shorey and Barnes are strong targets for the hammers and dont be surprised if barnes joins us.

But my gut feeling is that he is young and feels he owes at least 2 years to Derby. But if you are in the bottom 5 come January.. He'll be at our door.
