@GoldenGateChapel thank you i try to be as positive as i can! im 15 so you can imagine haha but her cover helped because i got hit by a car on my bik and he hit me going 40 and he left me in the road to basically let a car finish me off but i made it and to be honest this songwas on my ipod when i got up and walked to the sidewalk so i felt like i was in movie haha but this is my favorite song now :)

Read my whole sentence. Of course a cover can surpass a song, but not if it is as awesome as the original. There are many songs that are better when they are covered. Basically everything Bob Dylan ever wrote got better when it was covered. But Thriller is just so close to perfection, I don't think you can ever make it any better.
