How do the marshalls accurately measure the time taken for each driver to complete a lap? I know in Formula 1 it's done by accurate GPS, but how is it done in standard karting?
@superboost1997 These are the Twin Engined 70mph karts. Track is about 1.2km and we were covering it in just over a minute so average speed was just under 40mph ish. Either way they were pretty fast!
Every kart has a transponder so each time you cross the line the computer records the time
