If you need a car to install it in for "real world research" I'm your man! I'll put lots of miles on it for you and I'll only run synthetic when I change the oil. I'll even give you an in depth report every week on all it's parameters. Let me know lol
We pulled most of the descriptions due to our catalog of engines changing. We no longer offer certain options or variants.
We are working on new condensed writeups with a cleaner description. However, summer is here and we are getting quite busy. It's causing some delays needless to say.
Germany would be a whole different world of racing and our drag racing engines are not suitable for the long stretches of high RPM racing that the track requires in order to be successful.
Road racing and drag racing are different markets that require different applied technology.
hey this isnt that same 565 that couldnt keep up with a N/A 468 at delmar is it.I remember you getting blown away and you had a fogger. Rumor has it you cant make em run w/o NOS or a blower. And then they still wont run. Any comment?
well shouldnt any motor perform at least above motors of a smaller cubic inch.... ppl these days are so gullable. thats the only reason bill cannon is in business
thats depends on the goals of the motor. you can build a big motor with a flat torque curve that may not look awesome peak number wise but has plenty of area under the curve and will run the number. then u still got to consider tranny, rear gear, shifting, etc. especially in bracket racing. you cant abitrarily say a big motor will outperform either, cause that all depends on heads, camshaft, and spinning the motor high enough for the H/c combo to work. good H/C on a SBC will oust a BBC with junk
you can feed ppl this crap but if your a "proffessional engine builder" shouldnt your motors have the best of everything and outperform everyone because of your skills and still be deadly consistant. mayb the issue is your lack of skills and knowledge. all talk no walk
the best of everything depends on how deep your pocket buck goes. i tell you what, u show me where i can buy on of your motors, same displacement, and we'll put the motors head to head, post the dyno graphs up here, and EVERYONE will see who's talking and who's walking.
sorry buddy i race cars not dynos. i watched you run at cecil and your the one talkin and not walkin. If i can throw some peices together in my garage and make a 468 in a dragster that beat your 565 in your dragster with a 100 shot of nitrous i think im doing the walking. so bill wheres the pro mod now theres some talk no walk.
no sir i am tlkin bout the load...you are not loading the motor...you might as well just have a running stand not a dyno. when you dyno a motor you engage the brake (AKA KNIFE IT) but in your dyno videos you just let it run freely as if it is just in a car in neutral....truth is anyone local knows one of your motors cant handle the abuse
For a mechanical water brake, as seen on the dyno is this video, the proper method for dyno'ing as per Stuska Dynometers is what you viewed.
We have as of a few months ago upgraded to their newly released automatic load unit. This will provide a smoother and more even pull. Accuracy and readings however are the same, as we've used the mechanical brake for so long that we've gotten a feel for how to apply the water by hand.
oh! i get it. i've seen your type. first you want to talk motors, then once your motor gets called out, now you want to talk whole race cars. didn't your science teacher tell you to ELIMINATE as many variables as possible when testing or comparing stuff? you dont race dynos, well i dont race youtube comments or "rumor has it"s. thats why i wrote my reply about bench racing or E racing to to your original comment. a proper comparison would be the same car, same driver, same track, same day. we...
make a few runs with your motor with your tune, then a few runs with an AE motor with an AE tune, and see who's motor gets it done. you can even pick the displacement. so when you want to meet at the track and conduct this little experiment?
ok bill we both know you back down from bets. lets look at the past at delmar.... you wont even show your face there. we have already raced head 2 head. both dragsters both same weight. we saw how that went. who made bad eight that night. im not putting my engine on your rigged dyno. END OF STORY. you show me numbers on the track and prove your motors r what they say they r and we will end this
We have engines all around the country running the number and making wins. Why should we compete locally at a track that doesn't pay out, and is in very poor condition?
Our Stuska Dyno is one of the most accurate dynos in production. Our number's are not fudged, and are as accurate as technology possibly allows.
Screen casts are certainly an option to record the data from the screen. HOWEVER, it is a process that takes quite a bit resources away from the computer itself. This would make performing the dyno pulls more difficult due to the lack of response from the system.
As far as editing PDFs goes, it seems you have first hand experience with all of this "hacking" dyno sheets nonsense. Fortunately for us, our dyno numbers never disappoint us or the customers so we don't worry to much
Usually people who lack knowledge about a certain subject resort to the anonymous blanket of comfort called "The INTARWEBS" and proceed to hoist themselves upon a fake pedestal of sarcastic comments that are laden with stupidity.

nice motor. although I had my eyes on that belt the whole time! doesnt look like it'll go anywhere though.

watch the dampener, and the reflection in the timing cover, its clearly running. as you can see the throttle moving accoring to rpms and load as well

That has nothing to do with what I said.

Rumor? Rumor? its a bracket engine! consistency is key, not the most power. and you cant bench-race or E-race or what not off of rumor. come on.

its a computer system....ever heard of hacking...the forms you show are excel sheets. make a dyno run and show us the computer screen as you run it!
winchester1094 3 years ago
These aren't Excel sheets. Our system collects the data and outputs to a PDF file, then we upload to our servers so our customers can view them.
A video camera on the computer screen wouldn't be helpful due to:
A: Data collection is delayed slightly from what is displayed.
B. A video's capture rate is a lower FPS than the screens refresh rate. It will look jumpy and unclear.
I suggest you stop watching movies like Die Hard 4 where "l337 hackers" can wipe out the country with their Nokias.
AwesomeEngines 3 years ago
hey jackass...you can record directly from the computer screen. no shit the data is delayed...its called lag. and PDF's can be edited
