  • @downshift83 word up man! i hate dumbass people like him!

  • yeaaaaaa i crashed my brand new 2012 250 ninja a couple weeks ago........going 10 mph (not my fault) and completely effed up my leg cause the bike landed on it lol. So im glad you were completely fine going faster than that :P

  • @Poptartdrummer Yikes, sorry to hear that. Its totally aggrivating when its someone elses fault too. Thanks and I was lucky.

  • most people wouldn't get back up on the bike and continue to finish the ride

  • @SPLmadman Kinda funny you say that, I didn't think twice about getting back on, probably becasue we all spent so long talking about eachothers crashes and I was really glad I wouldn't hafta tow it back! Thanks. :)

  • @MATT131311 Hey MATT, I get the feeling you let your husband ride your behind...she needs balls? Then lend her the ones on your chin.

  • @MizShift Ur soooo bad! tee-hee.

  • Im glad that your ok. Just keep practicing and you will get better at it. It just takes time.

  • @wbvizard70 :) You're right thanks. Check the girl doesn't crash motorcycle vid where I actually get it right that time.

  • You went into the turn late and ran out of road, push hard to save. You're not along for the ride, YOU are in control. Thanks for sharing.

  • That's sad. At least you have the experience, right?

  • @nickjpass Eeeeyyyyuuuuppp!

  • I am very drunk!!!!

  • @wildicepick lol

  • @dlinquencious Oh my god, I don't remember this.... Like the video too ;) Unlucky about the spill, but it happens to everyone I think :)

  • @wildicepick hehe, apparenlty alcohol and youtube don't mix well then? :)

  • @downshift83 Aww yea, that's ma boi right there!

  • haha fail, hope ur all good

  • @MATT131311 im guessing you live at home with your mother and most likely don't even own a bike. you should change your name to 40yr old virgin. Moron!

  • @gtwpoet hahaha lovin this! Thanks. :)

  • @dlinquencious yeah no problem i got your back. us motovlogger gotta stick together!

  • So much for the no squid sticker.....

  • @mrmidnight32 Oh, so I was squidding!

  • @dlinquencious WTF, don't listen to this prick. You were obviously wearing gear, I saw no wheelies, and you aren't on a 1400cc Super sport. No squid.

  • @Quatokamikasi I know right? Thanks for the support, represent!

  • @MATT131311 oh look. Someone's Dad let their 5 year old stay up late on youtube so they could post this comment.

  • @iamramekin lol, go get 'em Ram :)

  • Im so glad your okay, and so lucky it could have been MUCH worse, my husband and i got t-boned on our bike in 2008, shattered my lower left leg, took a year to recover, and here i am with my own bike now LOL *sings "back in the sattle again"* im loving your video's tho, very inspiring! keep up the good work, we all learn in our own ways, glad to hear your going over the basics again, i dont care how slow it takes me to learn, i just want to do it safely!

  • @FazerWest Wow, that's a terrible thing to have happen. I'm glad you've recovered and better yet, you're riding your own motorcycle. How cool is that! I started riding on my own, my husband didn't, but I was having so much fun and meeting so many cool people that he decided to get one too, lol. Of course, we don't ride together cuz there's no one to stay home and watch the kids. :D

  • 1. Leaning does not turn a bike, counter-steering does! (look up keith Code)

    2. Look where you want to go (Target Fixation)

    3. Boots, please get them!

    Glad you're ok!

  • @MrChaiguy hehe, better late than never on the suggestions but thanks anyways for the comment. :)

  • im glad you didnt get seriously hurt

  • @SIETETIZ Thanks, me too :)

  • Can it be that you didn't lean enough, (im trying to learn here;) because assuming the camera was in the middle of your helmet or whatever, it looked like your head was straight above your tank (in vertical line with the bike, if you know what i mean) and while studying rnickeys videos ;) ive noticed your head is supposed to be sort of next to your bike. And I believe a lot of youtubecrash videos have comments about this in particular. (Plz dont mind my bad english btw;) Hope u dont crash again!

  • @OneShotKill3r The camera is on the right side of my helmet. I leaned but didn't turn the bike. Twist of the Wrist II is a good dvd or book for beginners. Get it if you can and ride safe. :)

  • I think you simply misjudged that corner...it happens and I think you also react right, not grabbing the brakes but waiting for your destiny..;) keep it up!

  • @alby94444 Experience would have helped. we're all good now though, me and the bike eater that is.

  • You low sided because you panic and grabbed the brake and and the tire dipped. But glad your ok, just think alot better to low side than to high side

  • @UTH0UGHT Nah, never touched the brake but good guess. I know how to trail brake now but I never grabbed the brake cuz I was deathly afraid of highsiding before I knew how to not get a gripload of it. Lowside over highside any day though, you're right ;)

  • @dlinquencious It's funny how people act like they know exactly what happened without knowing really any facts. The only thing I noticed is you went into the median before you low-sided but you would know better than me if there was sand or dirt there at the edge of the roadway. I usually try to avoid the edge for that reason. Thank you for your service - I'm a vet too 90-97 Navy.

  • @oldNavyJZ Ya, everyone's a critic but its all good, just showin luv :) Ran outta road! lol. I'm sorry but I'm not the one who's the Marine, my husband is but thanks for showing support and thank you for your service too, Go Navy! :)

  • @dlinquencious Im not a motorcyclist jet (still saving up to get the lisence) but I was wondering.., tailbraking? Is that rear-braking when you feel your losing front-end to get the bike up again? thanks!;)

  • @OneShotKill3r Trail braking is something you don't need to know about as a new rider. However, since you asked, trail braking is when you apply your rear brake (not the front, never touch your front while in a lean) while in a corner/lean to re-adjust your speed.

  • Ive been riding for35 years, mainly old bikes which are more demanding but i do like modern bikes too as i got to ride plenty when i was a bike mechanic,i feel for those who are just starting and have much to learn.I feel its done wrong these passed years.people not starting on small bikes and working their way up,if you don,t you miss so much which is a big miss,to all bros and sisters ride well and enjoy , remember every day you ride you learn something, never too old too learn, enjoy.

  • @069gypsy Thanks. I like the part about the more you ride the more you learn. :)

  • in too late

  • @069gypsy its that simple :)

  • @dlinquencious Glad your alright....& the bike I'm sure was easily, if not expensive to get back into shape...& yourself? OK, I'll throw in my 2Cs..Ideas?, 1 Transition from light to dark, 2 A small pothole right on your line, a distraction perhaps?, 3 A brief pause in attention?, 4 You just didn't get the bike rolled into the next turn. Have you been practicing your Counter-steering?,...weaving on the "dashed lines"....as practice? Again, glad your OK! Have fun out there!

  • @RichardEllisxyz I think you covered it all! Plus went in too hot, all rookie mistakes. All is well thanks. :)

  • i dont know how you guys can try and figure out what went wrong here. I cant spot sareing at her rear view mirror at 2:35 :)

  • @jeepcj7dude armchair critics..

  • was it target fixation seemed to be going to slow for a lowside ?

  • @stevemostwanted oh lordy, no target fixation, going 35 and way too fast for my skills but probably not for yours :p

  • "All you trolls that are gonna come outta the woodworks on this can suck a fat one. "

haha that made me laugh :).

But as long as you're allright and the bike is still running, it's not that bad :D, Like the vids :)

  • @umpalumpa101909 lol, trolls. All is well, just some minor repairs and cosmetic work that I'm too cheap to fix :p Thanks

  • Maybe a reason to get something bigger?:)

  • @889350351 A bigger bike? Probably a little less forgiving then a 250 though.

  • @dlinquencious something like 600cc with calm engine like 600f or if You are somekind of kawasaki fan like me maybe er6-f , thats a nice one

  • @889350351 Ya, I'm kinda fond of the Kawi's but I gotta put in my due dilligience with a smaller bike for now. Thanks though. :)

  • @dlinquencious You`re welcome.

  • @dlinquencious i started out on this bike and i have done the same thing actually on it lol and when u up grade get that zx6r lol best one out their lol and get rid of those damn battle axes i know you got on their and o with the CT2 tires from michelin

    :)

  • @MrKawi250rider ....when I upgrade.....too funny, how'd you know? :)

  • @dlinquencious because thats what Kawasaki's come with stock I’m not to sure about other bikes but i no they do and trust me those other tires are soooo much better than the battle axes they grab the road better

  • No matter how many years experience you have this can happen to anybody. Shit happens man.

  • @Lousypenguin lol, sure does. Thanks.

  • :( shit !!! i know that feeling :(

  • @ClutchUP85 Wouldn't wish it on anyone, learned a lot though. :)

  • This just goes to show that protective gear works. I learned the painful way that boots, jacket, and a helmet is not enough. I was missing the leg protection (jeans do nothing) and when it was all settled there was blood everywhere. Worst part is the bike was kick start only and I was riding alone... Took me nearly a hour to recover enough to start the bike.

  • @skstibi Yikes! Thanks for sharing that, hopefully someone out there reading this will make a better choice for gear. :)

  • If you had counter steered as well as leaned there you would have been able to change direction quicker. At least you got away with it. Get yourself some good boots because next time you mighten be so lucky. Best of luck with it anyway

  • @simon44 Hey thanks. You made very good points, and the boots are in the works. :)

  • did you brake?

  • @BlueEyedBassist That's a big fat negative! I was so petrified of braking in a corner from stupid brc. There are different levels of classes and I really could have used the trail braking techniqe among other things for riding like this. Many lessons learned though.

  • Target fixation is so natural, so instinctive, and so evil! :)

  • @geonerd Can I getta Amen!

  • @dlinquencious "Amen, Sister!"

Although I usually manage to resist their siren song, the evil spirits have sucked me in twice. On both occasions I was fortunate enough to find a clear, flat area while stopping. Haven't gone down yet, but did cross the oncoming lane on one of the occasions. Luckily, there was no oncoming traffic. Glad your get-off was 'just' a low-speed lowside.

  • Glad to see you are ok! We all have our learning moments, some worse than others when we ride. I have a few scars from my early days in the saddle! Good to see you AGATT and rockin' the frame sliders!

  • @kimber1911 Thanks! I don't know what AGATT means but it sounds good. Sorry to hear that you have scars from the early days, that's never a fun way to learn :(

  • @dlinquencious ATGATT = All The Gear All The Time

  • @nickgnaime lol that makes a ton of sense! Big thanks!

  • @nickgnaime Thanks Nick! I was getting in here to reply. I never heard that term either until 9 years into my riding!

  • @dlinquencious Yes, but as you know, every accident can be a learning experience and of course it's even better when you get away with it alive and with a minor bumps and bruises!

  • to wide

  • @HarleysProductions "thats what she said".

  • @dlinquencious hahahaha.

  • dont know if i should like or dislike this, its great that your ok but its never good to see a fellow biker down.

  • @675Glenn How thoughtful of you. How about you "like" that both the bike and I were able to still function. :)

  • Dam, the crash, sight & sound of that bike sliding on the road made my body remember the accident I had.

  • @jeff2all Horrible sound, sorry.

  • @TheCosmosRider Horrendous sound ya. Thanks and good point about making sure the bikes safe.

  • What kind of helmet cam do you have? Good picture quality and the sound seemed to stay in sync. I've been looking for a good one. Glad you are okay! ;)

  • @GSXRcop41 Drift Stealth HD 170. Thanks. :)

  • I like your dedication. I too have been studying rnickeymouse.

  • @SpadeChaotic :)

  • So, why did this happen? Did you come in too fast on the wrong gear for this type of turn?

  • @jay1002 Too fast was a factor plus I ran outta road :p Basically I didn't turn the bike as hard as it needed. I added lean instead and just layed it down. Sucked big time but I've taken it down several notches and am starting over with the fundamentals of cornering.

  • @dlinquencious Gotcha! Glad you're ok. I'm hoping to get a saki 250 as my first bike this coming up season.

  • well awesome start. sooo then u needed more throttle n press then ahhhh looks also like u started the corner a lil late also. anyway wow good thing for that gear. like u put no yur bike squiding haaaaaaa. gheeeeeeez well at least it started up again aaaaand at least u weren't goin tthat fast also u would've hit that wall hoooorible. well keep on trucking haa

  • @goose003 So true on everything you said about handling that corner thanks. Could have been worse, so glad it wasn't. Thanks. :)

  • poor kwak! :(

  • @tompwh I know, my bad.

  • Sporty bikes always get jacked up....Im old and stay on my cruiser....but I was an ass hole once....on my cb750 now that was a bike LOL

  • @darkpassenger01 lol, did you just call me an a$# H^*e! I'll get the hang of it one day soon I hope. :)

  • I noticed you don't like taking left turns as much as you enjoy the right ones. I'm that way too. Working on it though that I've noticed it. Maybe it was just where your camera was mounted but your set up for the right turns were much better than the left. Gotta work past that uncomfortableness and just trust yourself and your bikes capabilities. It'll keep you on the road and outta that nasty gravel! Lol Good to see you passing on that great info we get for free here at Miramar.

  • @jamesunderscore4182 hmmm good point, it may have a bit to do with the camera on the right side of my helmet though. I'll look into that, thanks. Sounds like your here on Miramar then? Did I meet you at the bike maint class? I love all the free stuff for riders here, its frickin awesome! Track days too! I'm so there next time.

  • @dlinquencious Yeah, I saw that the camera was on the right side one video too late. I was the guy working on my FZ1. I think we took the BRC 2 together. There seemed to be more girls than guys at it. At least you guys stick out because there's so few of ya. If you check up on the semper ride forum, there is always someone posting up the track day dates. They said they are shooting for late February. I posted a video of the most recent one tonight. It's a ton of fun no matter the skill level!

  • @jamesunderscore4182 Ooh, thanks! I'm on my way then. See you around soon for sure.

  • @jamesunderscore4182 Did I help with your indicator light? My hands fit between the panel so I was able to connect it then you tightened it? Is that you?

  • damn. i crashed on my 500 just like that.

  • @rayshon That sucks. Hope you're okay.

  • Comment removed

  • i guess the road is too small for you... (",)

  • @metallicdiablo09 lol, ya ran outta road!

  • Learning from our mistakes is the best way but it still sucks big time when we crash :)

I lowsided too a year ago, so I understand the feeling quite well. Glad you were ok !

  • @Remindme69 The feeling does suck but experience is the best teacher right. I'm glad that we both learned, not crashed, but learned. :)

  • wait for it ....

    wait for it....

    .... DARY!

  • @Genfius hehe, probably shouldn't have made is suspenseful like that, it wasn't a joke but I can laugh about it now and I've learned a ton. :) Thanks for the comment.

  • basically went in to the corner too fast, as soon as you reach the end of the road.... yeah....

  • @123qwerty ya, definitely ran out of road.

  • Can you explain more about what happened and how you could have prevented it?

  • @Ful1tilt I can but it was all my fault, don't know if it'll help but here goes. I leaned the bike over too far and didn't countersteer hard enough. I also was coming out of a right turn into an immediate downhill left, my speed was too much. I have a major fear of adding brake in a corner so I didn't. I didn't chop the throttle but might not have let off at all. My head and eyes were where I wanted to go. Twist of the Wrist II (cornering bible, get it). Hope that helps :) I learned the hard way

  • @dlinquencious You looked all good, you had your outside, inside working for you. at first I thought come over a bit more so you can open it up the corner a little more.

I think with bigger tires + a little more weight on the bike (bike weighs 138kgs) you could have tipped in a little more.

But with riding comes expericance & i'm sure you have been up that road since & learnt your lesson ?

Crashing isn't such a bad thing, check out my Jodrell Bank SV650 Run, there 'small' twisty's :)

  • @AZZ3R1 Thanks for the input, sounds good. I haven't made it up to that run yet, not avoiding it, just been busy. I'm getting full leathers soon though so after that I imagine I'll give it another shot. :)

  • @dlinquencious Twist of the wrist is great, corny, but great! Cheers for the info, hope the rest of your riding is a little less painful.

  • @Ful1tilt :) Yay! TOTW ftw! Lotta great stuff in there if you just look past the bad acting.

  • Ur a champ, way to get back on an keep ridin!

  • @mtalhead Awww thanks. Try and stop me from riding. :)

  • You should really get a nice pair of riding boots. Sneakers won't cut it everytime.

  • @phwoooaar Not sneakers, check down a few comments below or The Aftermath vid, thanks tho.

  • Subbed!

  • I haven't had an off on my ninja 250r (touchwood), but I've had a ton of falls on dirt bikes and farm bikes. Every time, I would race over to pick up my bike and give it a brief once over, before looking at myself. I once did this after tearing up my leg badly, I was looking at my bike, then noticed a decent amount of blood on my pants before realizing my leg was f***ed! luckily it wasn't deep and i was riding again the very next day but, damn it hurts!

  • @dougaholic Adrenaline is pretty amazing sometimes. Hope your leg, you, and your bike are all 100% by now :)

  • Glad you're ok :) subbing!

  • @Dexi suweet!

  • glad to see you came out of it okay. i've been riding for a while and no crashes yet.... well i was rear ended but that wasn't my fault. came out with only a broken foot alright!

  • @tennyshoe17 Ouch broken anything sucks but guess it could have been worse. Thanks for the comment. :)

  • Trainers with laces and no ankle support?? Your lucky your foot wasn't ripped off GET SOME BOOTS!

  • @rankore69 hehe, thanks for your concern. Check the Aftermath video, those aren't trainers, Ride brand, over the ankle steel shaft boots made by Fox racing. They did an awesome job :)

  • when you say you leaned instead of press.... what is pressing? i get leaning but not pressing... hows the bike?

  • @AbikersPOV Pressing is countersteering, I'm still kinda new to riding so my motolingo consists of what I was taught from the Basic Riders Course. I should do a vlog on all the motorcycle language I've had to learn. :p So, ya, lean plus countersteering is good, just lean was bad.

  • the one thing i noticed is responsibility !!

if that where a man it would have being, dam gravel on the roads, or my tyres had oil on them, or a bird flew out in front of me !!

but you took full responsibility for it, good on you, thats how you learn from it :)

hope your baby gets better soon ;)

  • @wolfe1970 Thanks for pointing that out, I know my bike could have done it but unfortunately it suffered the consequences of me riding outside of my limits.

  • aww u poor thing, u can come over to my pad any day for some R&R to heal up those wounds sweetie pie

  • @kyo120 :p

  • is your wolverine ok???

  • @BlooRDom hehe, good ol Wolverines seen some action.

  • thats exactly where my ex-husband wrecked, but he high sided and left in an ambulance

  • @2005SaleenFocus Oh my gosh! Hope everything has worked out okay.

  • yes the learning curve can be mean.be more aggressive learn the lines and go hard into the inside.spend the cash on those track days.

  • @fritzkat Glad it wasn't worse and those track dayz are lookin pretty sweet. Gotta get the gear first though.

  • Really really sux when you take your baby down for the first time, lol...been there and done that. I understand now why my buddy told me just to go ahead and drop it as soon as I got it and get the intial hit over with lol.

  • @tribldragon roflmbo! That's a great idea, not that anyone ever would but if I could have gotten it out of the way and been guaranteed not to lay it down again, I might consider it. Thanks for the hilarious comment.

  • Go to 2:19 and save yourself 2 minutes.

  • @TGives Yea, why all the narration? I just want to see a crash. I don't need a riding video and an explanation why it happened.

  • @pmrowe22 Omg, I always worry about that cuz I think people don't want to read when they watch youtube of course and when I ask others, they say they like the little comments :p believe it or not though, I tone it down. Anywho, looks like TGives above and a couple others marked it for you if you want. I'll keep it in mind though, thanks.

  • @dlinquencious Awe, now I feel like an ass. Sorry. Hope everything is healed up.

  • Gah!! Crashing, not fun. I've had my share of retarded rider errors, and some crazy drivers, but thats a whole different story, well we all get that, the life of riding!! And btw, if those pants you wear have a bunch of flowers on the top near the hip, they're the same as a friend of mine. And nice legs ;)

  • @PhappingCamel Yay, I love those pants, cept mine are no good anymore, the slide put a whole in them. Apparently textile is only good for one use. Time for some new ones or leathers more likely. lol, on the leg comment, what a tramp exposing my self like that! tee-hee.

  • Glad you're ok, that's the main thing! Hope the bike damage wasn't too bad. :( Take care

  • @nlrider2012 Thanks girly, it wasn't too bad at all.

  • @nlrider2012 Omg! I thought I saw "wife" in there :O So, what I really meant to say was thanks man. :)

  • The crash is at 2:25. :)

  • it happens. ive done it. good job in taking like a uhhh..man? lol :) thumbs up! ^

  • @machomods21 hehe, like a man. Thanks, short and sweet, I appreciate the comment.

  • Not sure what you mean by "not enough lean, too much press"? You either countersteer more or you don't, regardless of the amount of hanging off the bike you are doing.

You went in fast, didn't know how much more lean you could put in (WAAAAAY more as it happens), you froze up a little, applied a bit of brake (which made the bike stand up allittle more and lean less), froze up more, and there you go. Roasties on your ass.

  • @Badassbok Everythingyou have experienced right there is what Keith Code (founder of Salifornia Superbike School) talks about in Twist of the Wrist II. You did all of the standard SR reactions (SR stands for survival reflex). You need to train these out of yourself, by

    1) being thoroughly familiar with the concept of counter steering (you may already be)

    2) taking your bike to the track, and finding out what lean it is capable of.

You will learn more in 1 day than many do in a lifetime.

  • @Badassbok I know press may seem weird but press right look right go right. Press harder for countersteering? The guy in front of me had a hard time with that turn too that's why they call it the bike eater. There's a hard right then immediate downhill left that even takes experienced riders by surprise. No freezing or brakes here, no time.

  • @dlinquencious oh OK - yeah that is what I meant - press more or harder left to go left harder and trust in the bike.

  • it was nice to see gear, and that even in the cold weather, you lift you trouser to sport a perfectly shaved leg :P glad your okay x
