I feel what you're sayin. I dont fully agree but i feel like when Bob knew he was leaving to Zion, he wanted to make sure that any fortunes he left behind were to the caretake and well being of his children. So i feel that while he didnt want his children to be overly concerned about material things, he did leave them a blueprint that would see the family either be shrewd or see the workings of Bob go for nought.
