Heard the "little drummer boy" played on the radio at Xmas and I liked the sound, so I came to youtube to investigate and see whats posted, having listened to the various renditions, this version "cuts the mustard" for me, while the other artists are OK, Liz's (Boney M's) version winds hands down and to think that I only came across it by chance! Beautiful voices and composition.

Yes, it was in fact meant as Liz's first solo album. Would never have sold the millions of copies it did as a Boney M. album. Marcia was later invited to sing on both Jingle Bells and Feliz Navidad. Without her and even without Maizie (she rocks!) - who was the actual FIRST member - there would never have been Boney M. I'm so tired of these Liz Hosannas.
