I have a dsi and ever one says it's just like the lite but it's realy way better I'm not a hardcore gamer but more artish and I barley play games that got for it I get on my dsi at least once an hour just to play on flipnote studio. I mean I don't realy mind my dsi short life......but it does get in the way on long road trips. ( p.s. That music made me sleepy lolz )
The DS lite is 109$ now where I live and the DSI is 170$ with tax, in your opinon do you think I should upgrade to a DSI? since my DS lite's hinge cracked and I had to fix it with super glue and it's holding up but I don't know how if the glue will stay so should I upgrade to the DSI or just buy the original?

Whilst it doesn't have an SD card slot, the iPhone has way better cameras, and it plays a LOT of games. I'm not saying it's comparable, price-wise, but it does have most of the features, and it has a large memory capacity.
Fact of the matter is the DSi sucks. 0.3 megapixel cameras? No thanks. The price is too high for what you get. I care not about the SD card slot either. That just opens Nintendo up for homebrew. Not that I'm against that but... the DSi doesn't have much going for it. The only exclusive games are from DSi Ware and they all suck (who wants 4 different themed clocks?! HOW EPIC!) and it still has the cheap-ass design from the DS Lite that caused problems with the screen breaking. Go original DS.

The PSP Go is filled with failure. A lot of people say so. I already have all my Christmas shopping done though, and who said I NEED electronics? I understand exactly what you were saying, but I doubt it. I think the DSi and The PSP Go are going to need more supporting them to actually become decent. Personally, I see no point in the Go. A normal PSP does as much as the Go and more. But Osama is cool, no need to mess up his face. You can just stick the stuff on an SD card though. Pictochat is nice, but if they made it more like an instant messenger, it'd be perfect. Plus, SD card means easy homebrew. I like that, but that's a big flaw.

Well, the thing is, you can get games off the Playstation Network even if you don't have a Go, as far as I know, which means you can still pay those cheaper prices, as long as you have a big enough memory stick. Plus, 16GB is NOTHING. You might get 12 games on the PSP Go tops. I'd rather have the physical copy though. Anything can go wrong with a digital copy. At least if a physical copy gets damaged, you're the only one to blame (well, someone else could damage it, but then that's obvious).

I hate to burst your bubble, but the PSP Go isn't worth it. It's mega-expensive. You could buy an Xbox 360 Elite for that price. Also, the original PSP (any model, whether it's 1000, 2000, or 3000 series) can do all the Go does, plus more. Plus, in one way or another, you can use a 32GB memory stick with it. They're expensive, but worth it. You may need to use an adapter for a microSD or something to get true high capacity working though. Most people say the PSP Go has an awkward layout, too.

you are right about the price. i bet if sony lowered the price, they would get more customers. again, i know what i am getting. i have small hands, so it might be different. MIGHT. i am starting to question the go. a lot of people don't reccomend it, but i am not sure how i will like it. i hope i make the right choice in choosing the go. if not, i might hopeully get a 3000 if i don't like the go, but i doubt it.
But, I'll say this right now. I've always wanted a PSP. My brother has one, but I've never seen a need to get one. I was hoping the PSP Go was finally going to push me over the edge, make me love the PSP. But once I found out more about it and got a more detailed look, I can tell you that I went from being extremely excited, to wanting to burn down Sony's warehouses. That thing is horrible. I'm now actually considering getting a PSP 2000 because of the disappointing Go.

It'll be longer than 5 years - possibly longer than 10 - but just wait and see. I personally think digital media has too many cons compared to pros, but people find it convenient. Generally, people who find it convenient are lazy because they can't get off their ass to change their game or something. I understand the ease of digital media, but I for one do not like the cons it presents. As I said, I have a plan to re-invent physical media, so that it will work alongside digital media.

@feenelfuturo the battery last 3-9 hours depending on the brightness on the screen. if you set the brightness all the way down it last for a good 6-9 hours. you can't watch movies on it as far as i know but it does have wifi capabilities that allow it to go online via hotspot or wireless internet. you probably couldn't go on the internet in the car since there is no wifi signal. but it does play on the car and 100% portable. and in my opinion think its an outstanding handheld. :)

The DSi is really something you have to hold and try out before you want one. I love mine.
People need to get over the loss of slot 2, just keep your DS around. All the new features make up for it and then some.
The DSi is intended to appeal to those who are sharing DS units, and will make them want individual consoles. If a camera and personal shop, menu and music player doesn't do that, nothing will.

well the DSi has a more solid feel to it. it is less flimsy too. The DSi is firm also. the DS lite material feel kinda plasticy. Im not saying it is a plastic piece of junk cause i like the DS lite also but you will know the difference once you have a DSi. plus the buttons for the DSi aren't raised as high and they click so they are in tack better. i heard the L and R buttons for the Lite broke for the Ds lite on some peoples.
The biggest misconception about the R4 is everyone thinks it's illegal, the r4 itself is in no way illegal nor was it built to be illegal. its made for homebrew apps aka multimedia, not for downloading roms. the roms are illegal, not the r4.
I think your opinions are very biased knowing that you said you think the DSi is pathetic. Once you get a DSi you will know why it isn't cheap. the buttons are more in tacked. Plus the DS lite hinges always broke it is fixed now though. The lite was a little too light and it wasn't as durable as the Ds phat and DSi.
Plus Ds lite was barely an upgrade from the DS phat. I liked the DS phat and DSi. at least they actually did something new for the DSi. Plus i am not biased I actually like them all

It's pretty good for a handheld product with other features on it. If you go out in a sunny day, the camera almost look HD, punk, so stuff it.

1. the psp go is not "filled with failure" it is targeted at more of the digital consumer. it is not going to be completely like the originals.

I hate to burst your bubble, but the PSP Go isn't worth it. It's mega-expensive. You could buy an Xbox 360 Elite for that price. Also, the original PSP (any model, whether it's 1000, 2000, or 3000 series) can do all the Go does, plus more. Plus, in one way or another, you can use a 32GB memory stick with it. They're expensive, but worth it. You may need to use an adapter for a microSD or something to get true high capacity working though. Most people say the PSP Go has an awkward layout, too.

Well, for the most part, that's your opinion. all of my friends say it's worth it. also, it doesn't have an akward layout. i have played it on a demo,, and it is SO DAMN COMFORTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you are right about the price. i bet if sony lowered the price, they would get more customers. again, i know what i am getting. i have small hands, so it might be different. MIGHT. i am starting to question the go. a lot of people don't reccomend it, but i am not sure how i will like it. i hope i make the right choice in choosing the go. if not, i might hopeully get a 3000 if i don't like the go, but i doubt it.

But, I'll say this right now. I've always wanted a PSP. My brother has one, but I've never seen a need to get one. I was hoping the PSP Go was finally going to push me over the edge, make me love the PSP. But once I found out more about it and got a more detailed look, I can tell you that I went from being extremely excited, to wanting to burn down Sony's warehouses. That thing is horrible. I'm now actually considering getting a PSP 2000 because of the disappointing Go.

It'll be longer than 5 years - possibly longer than 10 - but just wait and see. I personally think digital media has too many cons compared to pros, but people find it convenient. Generally, people who find it convenient are lazy because they can't get off their ass to change their game or something. I understand the ease of digital media, but I for one do not like the cons it presents. As I said, I have a plan to re-invent physical media, so that it will work alongside digital media.

My question is: how long is the battery in DSi? We bought it yesterday for our son for Christmas, but we have no idea what is this thing.
Can he use internet with this DSi? Like on the go in the car?
Can he watch movies on it?

@feenelfuturo the battery last 3-9 hours depending on the brightness on the screen. if you set the brightness all the way down it last for a good 6-9 hours. you can't watch movies on it as far as i know but it does have wifi capabilities that allow it to go online via hotspot or wireless internet. you probably couldn't go on the internet in the car since there is no wifi signal. but it does play on the car and 100% portable. and in my opinion think its an outstanding handheld. :)

Yes, well :). He will love it I am just a little bit scared because I am so much against videogames, so my husband was the one who wanted to buy it for him.
And he is just 7, and he loves to read, so I hope since he will get his DSi he will not stop reading books.
Anyways now I am a little bit excited about this DSi and what he gonna say when he see his gift. I would like to give it for him right now, I just know that my husband would kill me then. :).

easy. i pretty much heard this song pretty much on the same time I found out about the DSi. i fell in love with it and wanted to use it. I just wanted to use this song in one of my vids. actually the LITE also had embedded wireless online capabilities where as the PHAT had a separate device to accomplish that.
But nothing stopped me from trading in my LITE and getting this AWESOME PRODUCT xD

The DSi is really something you have to hold and try out before you want one. I love mine.
People need to get over the loss of slot 2, just keep your DS around. All the new features make up for it and then some.
The DSi is intended to appeal to those who are sharing DS units, and will make them want individual consoles. If a camera and personal shop, menu and music player doesn't do that, nothing will.
DSi is great.

well the DSi has a more solid feel to it. it is less flimsy too. The DSi is firm also. the DS lite material feel kinda plasticy. Im not saying it is a plastic piece of junk cause i like the DS lite also but you will know the difference once you have a DSi. plus the buttons for the DSi aren't raised as high and they click so they are in tack better. i heard the L and R buttons for the Lite broke for the Ds lite on some peoples.

The biggest misconception about the R4 is everyone thinks it's illegal, the r4 itself is in no way illegal nor was it built to be illegal. its made for homebrew apps aka multimedia, not for downloading roms. the roms are illegal, not the r4.

I think your opinions are very biased knowing that you said you think the DSi is pathetic. Once you get a DSi you will know why it isn't cheap. the buttons are more in tacked. Plus the DS lite hinges always broke it is fixed now though. The lite was a little too light and it wasn't as durable as the Ds phat and DSi.
Plus Ds lite was barely an upgrade from the DS phat. I liked the DS phat and DSi. at least they actually did something new for the DSi. Plus i am not biased I actually like them all
