The solo that Adam plays live for this song is so awesome. I wish I had some tabs for it. I'm afraid I am doomed to only playing what is on the album.
aaenema i gotta disagree with ya there man. Saw em last summer and the one that i thought rocked out the most was by faaarrr justin. With the full beard and long hair he looked like some possessed woodsman but instead of an ax he had a bass guitar. Fing awesome
wow justin is real consistent with how he's moving on stage. i've seen them live twice and the only person in the band who does much movement is usually maynard. jusin and adam are usually like statues. so this vid is interesting more so because it's a badass song, but also cause of my small observation there.
They are both the same concept as an instrument but i saw another video of him playing a kind of weird ass guitar tha didnt make guitar noises but more like synth noises. it was kinda weird. Its actually on the other triad video on here, check it out
dude it is not a bass. it is a synth guitar, he doesnt use it much now because he just uses his synth keyboard. and yes he does know how to play guitar and bass, he has played both instruments for other bands
no guys. Its a bass. Its a steinberger. there are multiple bass tracks on the album, which is why he plays. The synths are either pre recorded or done my chris pitman on the spot
It isn't a bass, it's a regular guitar, unless he switches between reflection and triad. He fills in some of Adams backround parts during disposition, and plays som harmony parts during the reflection solo. The synths are a mixture of Adams foot pedals for the beginning yell thing, and the other guy that comes out and messes with his keyboard synth while they are playing.
I remember seeing this song live here in Fresno and fucking shit it was sooo loud! I was right in front so I was pretty much deaf after it lol : p they play this song louder then the other songs, just look at the sound quality of this vid compared to the other ones from this show it's not as good cause how much louder this song is played.
i think it's vince defranco playing synth and joe paul slaby on the extra drums. vince worked with tool on lateralus and salival and invented danny's mandala drums and joe paul slaby is danny's drum tech.
this song pumps! Tornado Zulu metal! I saw Dale from the Melvins play with them on this song, and I know Mike Bordin from FNM has joined them on this as well. Anyone know who the other two guys are up there?
I saw them play this at VoodooFest '01. Two contortionists in all white body-suits were suspended by their ankles above the stage & swayed around solemnly to the opening, then went into crazy gyrations when the song starts to really jam around 5:55. Totally awesome, jawdroping show.
I think it's Isis dudes, Aaron Harris and Cliff Meyer.

I don't think so, eventually this particular recording of Triad is one of the clearest around.

Is Maynard playing a Rythem or Bass? From an angle it looks like a long Bass is why I ask.
