I did never said they weren't good. I don't know if you understood me well. By people who knows nothing bout wushu i meant the audience there. It's like when a shaolin monks are performing for the tourists. They know that those tourist want to see some ditang or other acrobatic forms instead of taiji or the other stuff if you know what i mean. It doesn't matter if I know something about wushu or not as same as the other people there who's watching these guys. :)
A choreographed fight scene is entertaining too. Can't always just be tumbling. Ditang and even regular Shaolin Kung Fu has tumbling and we do fight scenes as well. If someone only wants tumbling theyd be better off watching XMA.
Thanx for the comments, guys. We've tried hard for that. I could agree that we could work a little bit more on speed. As for the public that knows little about martial arts - we did this number with 2 different types of audience with very different understanding of ma and both appreciated it a lot.
for a show, you need to do everything faster. People who knows nothing bout KF or wushu want to see action, power, speed, acrobatics!
but the show was pretty enough anyways :)
