this phone is only $90 (fido), so i'm not sure exactly what you're expecting from it, reviewer. i think it's a great phone for the price, i'm very happy with it.

- it's not locked down by DRM, so you can use your own ringtones, wallpapers, etc.

- you can install java apps (gmail, google maps, opera mini, etc) and games

- the keyboard is nice, great for texting and internet

- it looks sorta like a blackberry, lol

and contrary to what the person below me said, this phone has internet!

I have this phone and it is perfectly fine . there are plenty of phones that don't have all the stuff, its not just this one . iphones and blackberrys are quite expensive, so you cant expect everyone to get one . sure its a little bit slow, and doesnt have internet and stuff, but i personally, don't need to be on facebook and youtube etc all the time ! it has an mp3 player so you can have music on it, and as for faceebook, twitter, tumblr, etc . im sure people will survive without it .

I just bought this phone yesterday and it is really bad. The phone takes up to 30 seconds just to power on.The speaker is very hard to hear even with all of the volume settings turned up all the way. A speakerphone mode is available to correct the volume problem, but then everyone around you can listen in on the conversation, so it is not a perfect solution.The reception is poor and the sound quality sucks big time.I'm returning it today for a blackberry 8520 instead.

Well, hindsight being the great teacher, I would submit that, in consideration of sales to date for this device, the consumer actually does care. The $90ish price point, and the target market being young teens who text a lot, has made this device quite desirable. Imagine that! The good folks at Lucky Goldstar actually do know what they're doing!
