...(from cont)... Old granny, who then took me to her home and introduced me to her extended family. I sat with them and drank some lethal local moonshine-type stuff, much to their amusement.
I will never forgot my time in Nepal, even though it was short.
Nepal... what an amazing place. My wife and I went there on our honeymoon in February 2009, a few days in Kathmandu, a few days in Pokhara, then 4 days trekking around the Anapoona Range, then a couple more days in Pokhara before 3 days white water rafting, camping by the river at night. Absolutely mind blowing scenery.
In the middle of nowhere, in a small village, I managed to score about 2 ounces of really nice weed for 150 rupees off an old granny. (cont)...
wow i cant believe how much Thamel has changed since 1996 when I was there...it looks almost as touristy as thailand now!! Neon signs everywhere...and clubs!!! there was only like two or three bars when I was there and one tiny little night club
wow, that brings back memories of oct 07'...we had 2 people in our group who have travelled all over the world and say by far the nepal trip was their best
man...! im from that country and now in sweden to study..but, that price my friend, is for forigners. Its more cheaper that the price you mentioned. We even have festival called shivaratri where even cops get are allowed to take puffs.
thamel,,:) samall europ in nepal.. with more than 50 hotels , lodges. 2000 and more shopes. and 5000 business in a near not more than 800 meter in daimeter..

wow, my father used to have a restaurant there, "Lhasa Restaurant", business was good until the Maoists made tourism lesser. I remember that Tom & Jerry Pub too. there are also other places like Rum doodle bar, spam space. Well the thing is you can spend lots there if you've got money, especially the dollar. its was like i think 75 for a dollar.

@curb47 Haha cool story bro. Aren't Nepalese people, especially the ones in the villages, just so simple and nice? Amazing people. :)
