EDIT: also, the D600 wasn't from 2002. The Pentium M didn't come out until 2003.

dont think vista will work with 512 MB of ram, we had these at school and they ran slow with XP on them, the battery was almost always dead too,with some keys missing,

I have the same computer you have, I installed Windows 7 (although there are no graphics drives for Intel Mobile 915GM/GMS, 910GML.

I had to upgrade the the RAM to 1 GB

Okay So I have a question I have this laptop and it worked fine I heard u mention that the ac port is stable..on mine recently it stopped powering up and I note it wiggles as u stated ...How do u replace this port?

i have the same laptop but its still works and its 5 years old. i love dells cuz they are awsome but mine cant play dvds but it haz 4 gb ram, intel pentium m :( ,1600 mhz processor and yeah but my sreen is in perfect condition and every thing basically isnt!!!!

The laptop lasted almost 10 years before the screen went out and it was sold as is for spare parts. Was still in great physical condition when I sold it. A+ Dell

This laptop is OK. But its keys can get broken easily and the metallic body of mine has worn out.

Do you know how to revive the battery? because my laptop battery is completely dead. I cant use it at all. It wont hold a charge and i cant use it unless it is plugged in to the power outlet.

It's broken, you'll unfortunately will have to buy a new one.
