My 3 year old grandson is severely autistic. He doesnt have many words but he is very smart! I am sure, in time, we will find a way to break him free of his shell.
I am the father of three boys, the oldest (5 yrs now) was diagnosed with moderate/severe autism at 2.5yrs. He couldn't speak, could only mimic animal noises etc and was only interested in stimming etc. Now he has a vocabulary of 500+ words, interacts perfectly, is in mainstream school and plays with his brothers beautifully! It's not a miracle, we just don't stop interacting with him! Believe in your child and you will move mountains! Like I said, message me if you want to chat.
