its a 4th gen so its somewhere between 1992 - 1996 the si vtec model came with them i believe and the regular si cam with a 2.3 liter with non vtec

I used to own a 98 SH, but I sold it and bought a 2006 WRX. The WRX has some better potential for cheap power... slap a full turboback exhaust on that thing, give it a protune and bam, you get 35-45whp.

The SH was one hell of a car though.

he said that the motor is an h22, so yes it is the 2.2L vtec. the 93+ vtec prelude models had the 2.2 vtec, the si had the 2.3 vtec. and the s had the 2.2 non vtec sohc.

actually 14.7 lbs of boost to be corrected. sti 13 lbs. that one in the vid is either 06 or 07 but has the 2.5 bottom block. tune it and it'll make huge amount of torque were as the 2.0 will yield more horse than torque. that due to the displacement of the motors.

well the prelude has 200 hp stock with a 2.2L- subaru 220 and a 2.5L so im happy i can keep up with him because the car is faster to start off with and i'm keepin up with him - whats wrong with that? And if you understood what Vtec was - its pure genius - to have a low power band and a high power band throughout the rpms ;)

actually the 2.5 makes 230 and that's the new one like the vid says. the old WRX only uses a 2.0 and gets 227. so the old one uses a smaller engine and gets more power. turbo or not it still has more power and not to mention something called torque which you lose with Vtec. and your car is tuned with cams and an intake. stock prelude sh vs stock WRX and the prelude would get destroyed.

And yet honda wasn't even the first company to get Vtec up and running. Fiat invented it and patented it in the 40's and Mitsubishi actually had the first working version of it. So really honda stole the idea from Fiat. Sorry Vtec is a name honda came up with when they used someone else's idea.

dude the only way you could beat a wrx is from a rolling start and that means that that guy is shifting way early. the AWD is much faster. I have one and its stock i can blow any civic and pre lude with no prob in 3rd gear i go like 85 at 6rpms.
