Yusuf has many spellings and the true suspect was Yousef Islam, NOT Yusuf. It took a long time to get this straightened out and he's been to the US since. And Salman Rushdie has made a career of highly charged, controversial writings, even upsetting Indira Gandhi. The title of his book, "Satanic Verses" would be disturbing to both Christians and Muslims alike

The truth is easy to find on youtube. Type in Cat Stevens and Salman Rushdie. You will find BBC videos of Yusef agreeing that Salman Rushdie should be killed. in fact, he debates whether he would continue eating dinner or kill him were he to see him in a restaurant. And that were he in an Islamatic country and ordered to by a judge, he would kill Rushdie. He can deny it now but the evidence exists. Sorry, but this is not a peace and love man.
