  • Still great Barry sings live!

  • @udall...I agree with you about Barry and Johnny Depp looking a like.except for the teeth, I like Barry mouth along with his beautiful teeth better than Depp. Barry may be a little taller than Johnny too. They are both beautiful men, no doubting that. Johnny has a lot of musical background his-self. he still plays his guitar , don't how his singing is..

  • robin gibb first of may

  • csodálatos

ma már ilyen csak amesében van

    köszönöm

  • Beautiful song.

terrible rendering (Barry sings so pitchy here)

  • His teeth are EXTREMELY white

  • ..........x

  • @rascal211 Actually as a singer I beg to differ...this performance is virtually flawless, you clearly are a simpleton!

  • Barry's vibrato always sounded a bit slow and laboured compared with Robin's which is much quicker and controlled,Barry sang better in the late 70's.People don't realise too it was Maurice doing the highest harmonies.Brilliant talents these boys are.

  • putiz esses caras é fodatiscos

  • This is one of my favourites, it is beautiful, poignant lyrics. Reality check point event, where we stop take stock of what we have. Project minds, our vision to the future then our past return and live each day as if our last. That is the inspirational qualities summoned by the powerful lyrics of this beautiful song.

  • first time I see Barry with no beard

  • Could be wrong but I think that's a grown-up Colin Peterson on drums. Many Australians will remember him as Smiley from the movies of the same name. Great little slices of an Australia long gone. Became an ad man later, I gather.

  • I think that barrys voice just got better and better as dd Maurice and Robys they became much fuller and powerfull ,,,,just love these guys

  • Jimi Hendrix: "I Love The Bee Gees"

  • its gotta be said he looks a bit like john bishop dontchya think ?????

  • This dude Berry love to sings. It all come naturally.

When I was 12 years old I wanted a guitar but my parent were poor, so I didn't get one.

Now I have son and I bought him a guitar, and he is like dad guitar is not

    my thing, WTF

  • Nice song

  • Barry looks like Roger Daltry here.

  • Robin was so hot. Great song.

  • when Barry Gibb still don't singing "aahh ahh ahh stayin alive stayin alive stayin aliveee" XD

  • @Spiderdick11 Come back when you have a semblance of education, you simple ass driller!

  • OMG 1969!!!

  • fuck me it's John Bishops dad

  • O.O ...how can anyone dislike a song like this?! Seriously?!

  • I love this song, and I love the Bee Gees.

What a careers done from the heart!

  • So beautiful

  • The Bee Gees ONLY performed this beautiful song twice on TV--this is the first time--from The Tom Jones Show 1969 NOT available on DVD or in its complete form on line..too bad. it's a gem.

  • Spotted Julian Assange!! He,s hiding in the past as a drummer with the BeeGees -0

  • It,s a wonderfull song and classic video but I guess you see just here why it went wrong early 70,s between Barry+Robin,Robin is almost decoration in this one, has no part at all and is even sitting in the dark while thespots are on Barry ouch,Glad they worked it out,

  • @Choefoe Actually I believe this was from a TV show in England after this song Barry is faded out and Robin sings I started a joke in the spotlight, I never had a preference for either vocals, they were both wonderful in their own unique way, and as a band they were beyond parity.

  • @GeorgiiiiRaWK I totally agee, and in harmony there unbeatable, but the fact is the BeeGees broke up as a band early 70,s becayse of the rivally between Barry and Robin, as they say know, they grew up and get over it haha;-),I,m glad they did

  • @ Beatty: First: you make conflicting comments. He's lip syncing, yet his voice cracks due to a cold. Do you really think they'd use a recording 'in which his voice cracks several times' to lip sync to?

Second: your knowledge of music is clearly heavily influenced by current music. This is a live performance at its best. It isn't perfect, because there's no place for perfection in art.

You need to read up on a subject before you make comments and make a fool of yourself.

  • Guess,it would have been better for the Bee Gees,if Barry

did not change to the "falsetto style"...

    Anyway,the Bee Gees stay legendary

    Greetings from Serbia

  • its a beautiful song i heard this song only once in 1969 and then again today

  • The day I kissed ur lips and u were gone back in the UK. Oh my Jeff my love. I'm going to kiss u more when u come back here. Ilusvm. Mwah

  • dint the beetles pass away or was it the bee gees?

  • @shimeiwoo well,by know 2 and 2 John Lennon + George Harrisson of the Beatles and 2 Gibb brothers, Maurice + Andy, Andy was not with the \beeges but had a solo career, you can find a lot of his video,s too on you tube, he,s the spitting image of Barry ,the oldest brothers who,s singing the lead here;-)

  • Listen Radio Musica para Mimos (search Musica para Mimos in Google) the best in love song. Its great

  • Barry Gibb was a huge hunk back then. I can imagine he would have been pushing the girls away

  • Barrys voice sounds kinda weird...

  • @100btls , its that voice that helped made them famous. nobody could really cover their songs.

  • I like the later versions of Bee Gees singing live in the 80's or early 90's but dont get me wrong this is an amazing song best of the Bee Gees & This is better than 100% of the new "music" out there anyways. Bee Gees 10/10

  • i like it

  • Smiley Greevins on drums..

  • Omg, Barry is my dream man, he can sing the phone book and it would sound hot,I love the bee gees,I played them all the time when my kids were little, now they like them, and they have little ones, that dance to there songs.Love there harmony!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • something about the flourish of the particular words 'And I recall' and the way he moves his head, its the most awesome musical thing ive ever seen/heard!

  • @ancyt I know what you mean...no matter what kind of song they did, they always put their 100% effort into it.

  • ahaha, the captions labelling Robin and Barry cracked me up.

  • brilliant loveeeeeeeeeeee them my beegees ,,,xxxbabs

  • Such an amazing live performance, the Bee Gees vocal and songwriting ability remains unsurpassed.

  • I said "FIRST"

  • yess The firs of may. Good Bee Gees ´s song

  • PERFECT SONG!

  • Thanks kketepassa for uploading, it's really amazing to listen to Beegees songs. I love it! More uploading pls.

  • 往事只能回味......

  • Bee gees are the best!! too bad I never saw them live and never will.

  • @thera04

They were good - equally good live as on record - and frankly not many artists can match that. And not many can mature over the years and meet the changing trends but they did it. Western Springs, Auckland , New Zealand - late 90's I think.

    Great night , superb concert.

  • great version

  • always love Bee Gees!

  • This is the song that was written by Bee Gees. Generally speaking, no one can sing better than original.

I heard Sarah Brightmans version. Her voice is opera style, very classic. I do not lke it. Lulu, Maurice Gibb's ex-wife sang this better than Sarah

  • xjellybean91x is a simpleton, there is no version better than this particular live version.

  • An excellent piece of a live performance, one of their best songs very moving, can make you feel very emotional, or at least it does to me

  • 此曲本應天上有,人間難得幾回聞!

  • This was a medley of "I Started A Joke", and "First Of May" it was from the Tom Jones show in 1969. This is the first time I've seen it in color! Thanks!

  • great song

  • barry Gibb actually looks very handsome without his beard

  • @imaginator Yet Barry says he hates himself without his beard.

  • Gran interpretación en directo.Canción bellísima

  • Fantastic to see this on a video, love it

  • Great version of a standard classic.

  • This is a stunning live version of a beautiful song, the Bee Gees simply have no parity as singers or songwriters.

  • I like this song...great group between 1966 -1969 +++++

  • Fantastic voice, wow!

  • .... the hick up makes it more personal to me... an ordinary human being (T_T) ...what an endearing video ...thanks for the post

  • Awesome video. It's good to hear this song again. They are magic. Thanks so much for posting this video.

  • weird seeing barry w/out his beard.. lol nice song tho

  • A real gem!!!

  • ¡Un golazo de media cancha!

  • Como viver sem recordar essas músicas que são tão lindas!!

  • My favourite song, on my favourite day, I am elated!

  • its first of may!

  • This song is just so beautiful, I think he sings it perfectly too, when I first heard this song years ago I thought it was stunning! Nothing I have heard since has made me change my mind, the Bee Gees at their very best.

  • the greatest group ever in the history of world music in the 20th century, the bee gees, I have almost all of their songs and how hard to tell which ones are the best ones, but still LAMPLIGHT stands out with the title, but just let me listen to this 24 karat diamiond gem, 1st of mat, long live the bee gees!

  • BEATTY You get on my nerves for being so pedantic, this performance is virtually flawless. You need to learn a little more about singing live, before you open your vacuous trap!

  • @TENRECORDS ......Betty obviously knows very little about the band. If she was as big a fan has shes says she would notice that Barry has a habit of wetting his lips like this in most of his live performances. Better that than the lip SYNCing that goes on at live shows these days.

  • @TENRECORDS Pas très sympa ce qui se dit là!!!!

  • is voice that time was still just an amateur's . But of course, he became one of the best.

  • I will always remember this band. The 1 and only Bee Gees.

  • love this song...barrys fab..and thanks for this posting!! ,,,,beegees forev er x

  • Barry looks like Johnny Depp... hehehe

  • The quite good-looking Barry ... :-))) ... makes forget the hickup or anything else ;-)

  • He's singing with everything he has. This is simply magnificent.

  • You should hear LuLu and Maurice Gibb sing this song together. You can feel the love that was written in the words.

  • Finest band on the planet, simple as that, classic songs by wonderful singers, what more can you ask for?

  • this is the original video awesome!!

  • Good stuff-where's the whole clip? Sorry to be greedy--just a great song to be fully enjoyed!

  • Superb, Barry Gibb is amazing!

  • Freakin' fantasic!!!!!! The ending is just incredible....instruments silenced, Barry with finger up commanding a solid conclusion and the emotion of the song coming through loud & clear!!!!!!!!!!! do do do, do---do, do do do do!!!!!!!!!

  • Bravo! I love Barry Gibb!

  • Great!!!!
