I think it is fair to assume that JP and Craig had sex waaay more than 6 times. That scene is in JP's bedroom before Craig goes back to his and Sarah and his mum have that dreaded engagement party for him all ready. The bed scene is in Craigs room then and JP is seducing/stalling Craig so as to have Sarah find them and end their engagement.
