Poor I-DAWI !!

You really didn't deserve to end like this, this is so sad!!

And shame on those guys in South Africa, that wrote those things on the fuselage of an aircraft with more than 25 years of faithful and reliable service.

A veteran of the sky really doesn't deseve to be treated this way!

Respect to an aircraft that has carried safely home so many many people in its life!!

@arixtos Fact of the matter is that it would have been scrapped. Just like thousands of other airplanes in the past. Her last flight was spent bringing a smile on people's faces. And she is still here. Some time ago she was at the gates again for evacuation excercises. I think she would prefer it that way than being torn on a remote part of an airport. Cheers !

I guess it doesn't happen often and it was very kind by Insel air.

You are right that thousands of other airplanes are scrapped, it's sad but it's true.

I was mad at the things someone wrote on the fuselage, things like "scrap-heap".

I guess someone pretended it was funny.

Not for me.

Anyway it is really nice to see her last flight, her farewell to all of us!
