if i have esc with cooler(pro brushless car), should i change it when upgrading to lipo?

dude i jus got 1 of these ..........they re pretty fast .......but then i am dissapointed with the runnin time could u suggest me wat the problem might be????..........nice video too :)

G’day Mate- the battery supplied is only to get you going and you really need to upgrade to a Lipo. If you don’t want to then the very least you should run is a Ni-cad 5000 that is what I was running in the video (thanks for the complement). I out lasted some of the Lipos with stop start run time of a ½ hr. These batteries are expensive and that is why only a small version (prob 2000) is included with the RTR version. Have fun Mate ;O)

Hi all, im new to this RC game and have just bought one of these massive pro truggy's. Great fun but a bit disappointed about how long the battery lasts for, can anyone advise me on what is a better batterry and last longer and where i can get one from please.

Hi- yes you can run a Lipo but you have to change your ESC or you will cook it (over heat it) a new ESC could cost you a bit at a hobby shop so get online and order one of ebay.

@iamhalam I'm not eure if the ESC will cook. I run all my brushed RCs on Lipos. Same Voltage but at leat double the Amperage. However I dind't not try this on the Bonzer yet since my kid only rides for 10 mins or so. Once he want's lnger times, I'll put Lipos on. I'm guessng if the cheap ESC gets hot I'll heat sink it some more.

Good comment. I think i shoud have said incomparison with how many cells your lipo is. BTW I have replaced three!!

@MrJonnypapa65 -- G'day, yes it does that is caused by the ESC creating a delay due to the amount of power going through it I think (but could be wrong) that it is called "Cog Click"

@thecrawlerguy -- hey, I am just running a 4500 no lipo. I was just as fast as the other Truggys and i lasted longer than some with lipos. Having said that I do have a ESC cap. of a 3cell on order.

i just got one yesterday and tested it with a 7.4v lipo. it is sooo nice to play with this rc ! actualy i got it realy cheap around

140 US dollar :)

unlike my bandit vxl which was 400USD

WOW! thats good money!! Its not living up to what i thought though. If you leave it standard it will bust up pretty quick... well at least the way I drive it!!!

fuck yea man i got the same 1 im waiting on parts atm but yea do u know any sites where i can get parts from? its heaps fast with the standart battery in it i havent tryed the lipo's how much better are they??

I have had to upgrade mine quite a bit as it won't take the pounding I give it. I am waiting for a speed controller to handle my 3c lipo so i will tell you then. I don't know where you are but my Toyworld store has a good range for RC cars- I am in Australia- Brisbane. Later.
