I have been natural for 2 years but wore a fade for must of that time, i've been growing it out since July 2011, and its getting very hard to deal with this afro, i have type 4c hair also, and i dont want to perm it, but i just dont know if im goin to have the patience to keep it up, but i'll pray on it, ..Great Vid and lovely hair ;-)
How long have you been natural? I love your hair, its the same texture as mines but mine seems not to be growing as fast, and doesnt have enough volume, any tips?
I was soooooooooo gonna ask you if you were Haitian. This is such a miracle because it's hard to find others with the same hair type as you & ethnicity. Your videos are GREAT!!! Love them& thank you!

ooooo mmmmmm gggggg finally someone with true 4c hair just like my daughters. it takes me forever to do her hair, she is 13 and i am just nowhandling it more. i used to keep it in braids but bc of hand problems i cant do her hair. its so thick and sooooo much. her hair is long like yours too. i may try twists on her hair but it will def be big. yours look nice bc you are grown but for a teen she not going for it LOL. omg, thank GOD for running into this video any suggestions will be great
@chery818 Nah, didn't get sick of it. Just don't know where I put the CD. That's back when I use to buy mix CD's to listen to in the car... LOL You know how that goes. It could be under a seat for all I know. LOL
@NEPH80 Hey babes, I'm glad to be back. You know I gotta jam to my konpa while I work, it helps me keep my sanity when dealing with the hair LOL. Hope you and little man are doing good :-*
I love this video! This is a similar process to the one I use to detangle my super coily hair (I do 10 sections and don't comb-detangle at all). I also do it on stretched hair before washing (much easier than on super coily wet hair) while listening to music. Finger-detangling is such a good technique.
@Lifeisagift1990 :-D I'm glad you liked it. I'm not even gonna lie, if I get frustrated I pick up the comb LOL. You are definitely right about doing it on stretched hair. And definitely definitely have to have my music!
my hair twin shrinkage, tangles, knots, dense cottony goodness lol :o) thank you so much for doing this video. i think you are the only person i've seen detangle the way i do, fingers and a pair of trusty scissors near by. Please do more...
@didi425 yes to the dense cottony goodness LOL... people were trying to debate my hair type but I know what it really is LOL... I have more vids coming soon. Thanks for watching :0)

Your hair looks beautiful and healthy! I need to start trimming my hair as well. Nice vid!
NoireTropicalBeauty 5 months ago
@NoireTropicalBeauty Thanks hun, I trimmed it and took off a nice amount. I was against it but I guess now I see the necessity.
chery818 4 months ago
yeah, that was a lot of shrinkage. that's why I only use oils when finger detangling.
