Does anyone know exactly what part of the opera this is? I found a German libretto somewhere, but it's hard to make out the text on this recording. I'm working on a blog post about Ullmann and would like to provide backup material to this clip. Thanks for posting it!
It is the Kaiser's Farewell Aria, just before the end of the work. In this production they are using the alternative text of the aria, which omits some of the music too.
Se hizo (muy poco, la verdad) una interesantísima versión en Bilbao y Vitoria en noviembre de 2008. Puedes ver un extracto de esta producción en youtube. Dirección musical de Andrea Cazzaniga, escenografía de Josu Rekalde y, entre los intérpretes, la mezzo Ana Häsler. Esperemos que se pueda disfrutar más a menudo de esta magnífica obra.

He visto esa obra en Buenos Aires, me pareció conmovedora. Los cantantes buenísimos todos, y la escena impactante.
