It was produced by an American company for an American audience about an American experience. Get over it. There are plenty of documentaries which focus on other perspectives, but it was a big war so there is plenty of material to for study that does not need to be shoehorned into one effort.

i think your wrong... requiem of a tower is the remake version of requiem of a dream that was used in lord of the rings the two towers... this is a far different song (I have both soundtacks and its not that song my friend) no where near the same song infact.
i agree that they do sound the same, and progress simularly, but there are some vary major differences in this song from requiem of a deam(tower) like the opening to this piece, it does not have the plucked cords slowly growing that requiem has... and an overall different structure that makes it distinctly different. But i do see where some people might say they are the same.

He also participated in the Sicily landings, & a few weeks after his European adventures were completed, he was in Guadalcanal. My grandfather was a Medic in the 1st CAV in the Philippines (Leyte), under MacArthur. Another uncle of mine lost his father on D-Day/Battle of the Bulge (I was told as a little kid).
My grandfather, my brothers grandfather (different dad) and my grandfathers brother all served in the army in Europe in WWII, it was an honor to have ever known them. Truly if there is any war that the people who fought in it should be honored for their sacrifice more then any other it was this war. When we where tested the greatest... God bless all the world war II veterans.

but again they are not technically the same songs, they just sound like eachother
