@Shayd93 Android 1.6, it's a custom overlay by Archos though so not the stock Android, I don't think it has the regular marketplace but I hear it's quite easy to put the market on though.

In some of HTC sense UI Android phones you can switch the Sense UI overlay off in the options to get it to regular stock build, you might be able to in this too.

the amazing thing about this is that you can use the tv screen as the display in real time. wich makes web browsing amazing my freind rigged a homebrew wireless versionfor me and i actually prefer that to the brower on my computer (rca to tv is comparable to the samsung captivate)

@oooskar2 LOL buy an ipod youch or an iphone. It's funny because the only type of video format they support is MP4 which is terrible in comparison to AVI or dvdrip on the Archos devices. The archos is great as you can download an avi quality film and play it back without having to convert the avi file into a poorer quality MP4 file. MP4 Video quality it only good on the ipod/iphone if you have paid for a video in the apple store which is a rip off as this is very limited!!

I have just purchased the 160gb Archos 5 wth Android. I can't get Youtube to work at all. As in the video i have updated the firmware but that hasn't helped. When i click on a video i just get an error message saying 'cannot play video'. This is driving me nuts, can anyone help??

Nice device but not worth much without a phone functionality. Why would you carry this thing on you vs one of the large smartphones? All the disadvantages of having to carry and handle multiple chunky devices far outweigh the strong specs and display size of this device. Add full phone functionality, optimize the size and battery-life, and we are looking at one hell of a smartphone... In other words, let's wait and see what the Archos Phone Tablet will bring to the table. This one is a dinosaur.
