The calisthenics might well be Argentine, but the dancing certainly isn't.

@arrabaltango Actually it originated in Buenos Aires, Argentina (first) and Montevideo, Uruguay by the 19th century. The correct way to call it may be "Rioplatence" as it comes from the area of the "Río de la Plata", wich is shared by both countries, as you may know ;)
Anyway it's the Argentina's traditional dancing par excellence. Xx
