Too funny! :D Tell him not to feel too bad. The other day I did the same thing but I was 6 feet off the deck coming in. I decided at the last second to give it full flaps but hit the gear switch insted. The gear went up & I said OH $#*$&. I did get the gear back down in time but I thought it wasn't going to make it. Stupid delay opening the gear doors first. Thank god for a looong runway.
