Are those yittrium coated polyethylene tarps? If so, the tube material will have to be processed using hydroponic sulfate, else the water will be undrinkable.

What is the material surrounding the hoop? I thought it would be a laser refined hoop of glass when I heard of the idea and saw the diagram
