It is a mod for an older game called Freespace which itself was based on Descent.

It is called "Beyond the Red Line" and is one of the best mods I've ever played, period.

The mod is sadly, dead now. You can still download it and fly around, or maybe do some modding of your own. But no one plays it anymore :(

when it's done. Could be they decide to just suddenly announce its completion, or that after they finish, they really hype it up for a month. Maybe by the end of the year? It IS fans doing this in their freetime. Not a professional company.

i wish that mod had basestars and galactica (or pegasus) cause they are not released yet, theres only raiders vipers and a mining ship -_- but its still a great mod!:D
