@Brojangles33 in this vid here, I'm running stock 1982 jeep cj axles amc20 and dana 30. if you look my other latest vids. you will see I have since change them out to full width 1 ton chevy axles
totally diffrent island, Peacock flats and Kaena point are on Oahu. I'm located on the island of Kauai. we have more trails, more nasty mountain stuff too. browse my other vids I got posted. tons of action here
Ahhh I should have realized. I didn't remember this spot from when I lived there. I'll check it out, we never got to go anywhere except on oahu. Went to the big island but of course rental car companies frown on offroading in their jeeps.
If you look at the door opening its really easy. On a 7, the door opening has two vertical lines whereas on a 5, the rear edge of the door slants at an angle.
@kufd 5's are shorter and have a curved door. 7's are a bit longer and have a door shaped like all the YJ's. What lift was that in the video? just a SOA?
yes your correct, I have a cj7, I did not know at the time being when I 1st bought this jeep. in this vid it was a simple SOA using stock springs. currently to date, I have a full width SOA conversion using 2 1/2 inch lift springs, with 14bolt rear and 10bolt front.
heyy its me again finally bought the lift it ended up being a rough country cause we were at the bloomsburg jamboree and we went to buy a superlift and the just told us we bought a rough country so we just took it and said screw it. so i am going to run 35x13.50(it think 13.50)x15in mickey thomphson baja claws and i cant wait for it to be done thanks for the advise i wasnt thinkin about the tires haha 37s what the hell was i thinking! but any ways cant wait to take the top off and go next year!
cool but i had a question i am reabuilding my dads jeep a 1978 cj5 304 v8 runnin headers side pipes ya know. and i was going to try to put 37inch tsl superswampers with a 4 inch suspension from superlift. do you think that will work or should i do the spring over axle swap to give it some bigger clearence what do you think? now i am 12 and i'm going to start this summer on it and i was wondering what one to go with???
some pointers: my vid shows SOA and "just" making the 35s fit. a 4inch superlift, I dont think it clears your 37s. I have a project in few months, getting same lift springs as you(4inch) will be mounting them above my axle, so my jeeps going to be sitting much higher now. I plan on running 35s again, but making axle upgrades to handle it. since its probably your 1st project truck, give it a shot. gain much expericance for future building. just go easy on mashing the gas pedal! later bro.
I gotta 72' and I can't find any bucket seats that fit. Where did you get yours?
