great choreography with the shoe, and, love neal's "delilah loud" hairstyle. these guys were superb composers, musicians, and, showmen. i maintain that this is the greatest american hard rock band, period. thanks for the treat!
Awesome clip, Alice Cooper rocks!!! BTW those cameras are 4 tube RCA TK-42 colour cameras which first went into use in 1965, just look up "rca tk-42" on the google search and you'll see them.
Bloody great! If The Faces with Rod Stewart had drunk a fuming, frothing potion and collapsed behind the laboratory bench they might have dragged themselves up again looking and sounding like this. I love it.
They changes my life as well. I saw them in 1971, 72, 73, 75, and on...But the original line-up will always be the best! Neal Smith was my hero, 'cause I'm a drummer.
THESE GUYS SHOULD ALL BE IN THE H.O.F. It was the "Alice Cooper Band," and for me will always be.
RIP Glen Buxton. I can't believe that it's been 10 years since he died. Damn I feel old!!!
This lineup; Bruce, Buxton, Smith, Dunaway, Cooper could be the greatist rock band ever, and they're not even in the Rock N Roll hall of Fame. They changed my life.
I have a copy of this direct from the TV studio 3/4 inch tape. They performed Eighteen, 2 versions of Is It My Body, and Black Ju Ju. There is more Tubeworks stuff that exists including videos of Johnny Winter,Fleetwood Mac (with Peter Green), MC5, Joe Cocker, Teegarden and Vanwinkle, and a complete half hour show with John Lee Hooker (of which I have the TV studio's 3/4 inch master tape). When I get an upgraded computer (mine sucks), I'll try and post some of this stuff.
Great directing on that clip crvideo ! And with just two cameras , you made it seem like more. Most band video's at the time really sucked because everyone was trying to add stupid video effects . Glen when he was healthy was nothing short of brilliant. I love the original band.
I was the director of this clip, for the WABX show "Detroit Tubeworks." I don't even have a copy of this, so it's very cool to find it here! It was shot at the WXON (then ch62) studio Walled Lake MI. Yeah, those aren't Cadillacs, they really are cameras- the gigantic RCA TK-42's, and we had only two.
It must have been amazing for you to have just come across this - I couldn't believe it when I saw it. The band must have a complete gig recorded somewhere but will it ever see the light of day ??? John Golby
This was the flip side of Eighteen on the 45 and for my money, good enough to warrant it being a two-sided hit. Love it!

Rush Limbaugh hates Alice Cooper.

I guess removing his shoe is part of the act. But it's still cool. Alice turns me on so badly. I'm getting aroused just by watching this.

Does anyone else find it a bit odd that he removes a shoe and sticks it on the mic-stand? :P

Well, I guess they tried to be so unnormal as possible in all ways, that was a strange thing to do so he did it as a part of the show :P
Great song xD

Anybody besides me ever notice that Alice doesn't sing this song in his lives as much anymore.

They changed how music is presented - they DESERVE a place in the Hall of Fame - such presence & tongue in cheek creativity -

RRHOF is a sham, why Bowie won't talk with them, it was (is) all about rebellion, not a trophy, duh?

Very cool to hear from the director of this! The A.C. band recorded some other songs for "Tubeworks" too, didn't they?
