My strategy was completely different. I had obtained the Manticore soul by luck, so i used it with a spear in this this battle and ignored my bullet soul. The best part about the Manticore soul is that you can still hit Balore if you are ducking, which allows you to tack in some extra damage while he is punching or firing his laser.
You dont need to really hit him in the eye, you could have gotten less time if u used your claymore when ducking under the beam + I think the Blunt Sword is a good weapon against him, because its fast ^^

He was more powerful in Arie of Sorrow. It took me a long time defeating Balore in Aria of Sorrow.

Sheesh, tell me about it. And how the hell did Celia transport him? Another thing, he's weaker here because he's one of the first bosses, obviously.

Meh, I guess I just like Great Swords cause they stronger and lead to Claimh Solais (which is a cool weapon and is canon)
