My skin tends to be dry so I use half a lime dipped in organic sugar that has been drizzled with olive oil. I rub the lime directly on my face and body in circular motions. The wonderful lime smell remains even after showering!

you could try adding honey or olive oil or vitamin E oil and ::maybe:: that would help lessen the irritating effects AND make it antibacterial (if you add honey) and could use more regularly? if someone tries it please let me know. ^_^

thanks so much...I actually used regular suger, grinded up cashews, squeezed organge, olive oil, with a lil graded orange peels...U were so helpful..It leaves my face so smooth and rich looking..I would have never thought of making my own soothing scrub...I also made one for my legs/feet using reg. suger, 100% coco, 100 % green tea, olive oil, and grinded up peanuts..THANKS SOOOO MUCH!!!!

if you use this more than once every week theres a chance you could have counter effects and even rashes, since exfoliaters are literally things that take off the top layer of the skin, with citric acid aswell as that, if you use it daily then your skin will end up raw and painful D:

I take lemon halves(stored in freezer) that I used for my husbands lemonade and then when I'm ready to use them I take 4 halves out to defrost and then put in a grinder or spice mill thing then grind. I then put the lemon in a plastic container add about 2tblsp of sugar(white or brown) and i will use this in the shower for a all over body scrub about once every week. It exfoliates, brightens, whitens, and deodorizes.

I tried it today, though made the mistake of using splenda. I have to go to the store and buy some actual sugar. Lol! I also rubbed my knees and elbows with slices of lemon, and I'm planning on using the face scrub once a week, the knee/elbow scrub twice a week, and keep them from drying out with cocoa butter. I'm hopeful that this will work! Also, is it alright if I wash my face with actual face soap after the scrub or is that a no-no? Thanks for the video!

I got scared that the lemon was getting to acidic to be good for my skin; I don't recommend trying to store it. But it is really good for cleaning and exfoliating your skin; not only for your face but other dry problem areas.
